My fiance and I just returned from a Wednesday-Sunday trip. We stayed at the Yacht Club and had park hoppers. Our last trip was around the same time in 2014.

Pros-

-The new attractions- although I love the classics I was blown away by the recent additions (Mine Train, new Soarin, Frozen Ever after) the new technology is really impressive and makes me excited to see whats possible in the future. Also- if you're a fan of the Muppets make sure you take time to go see their new show in Liberty square- it's great, and it's pretty short so wont take up a bunch of ride time!

-Transportation- I'm not sure if we got lucky but it seemed like every time we needed a bus/boat/monorail there was one available for us.

-Food- It seems like the food is better than its ever been at Disney. We did not have a bad meal and enjoyed everything. We ate at: Be Our Guest, Spice Road Table, Sanaa, Narcoosees, Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Cellier, and Katsura Grill. Our favorites were Spice Road, Narcoosees, and Le Cellier.

-FP+/Magic Bands- This all seemed to be working a lot better than our trip in 2014, we didn't have any issues.

-Resort Airline Check In/Magic Express- We had a great experience with this- especially on our way home. When we woke up on our last day our boarding passes were printed for us and put under the door. Before breakfast we checked our bags with Resort Airline Check In in front of the Yacht club & then headed off to enjoy Epcot for a few hours. The next time we saw our bags was at our final destination. It was great to arrive at the airport and head straight to security and not worry about waiting to print boarding passes or check bags. (Note: I could not add Magical Express on the website as I had done in the past- I had to call and add it)

Cons-

-Crowds- I knew to expect it to be busy(because Disney always is) but I was not prepared for the volume of people. When we came in 2014 in early February it was busy but not near as crowded. We did rope drop and really enjoyed that first hour or so but it quickly got very crowded. We were able to ride what we wanted because of FP+ but at certain points it just stopped being enjoyable trying to walk through the park and navigate through so many people (especially when so many people just completely stop walking in the middle of a walk way- pet peeve!) We made the best of it and tried to hang out in some less traveled areas but I can definitely see how some first timers come and say 'never again!' because of the massive crowds.

-Cast Members- We did have some great cast members so I don't want to say it's everyone -but I'd say I noticed more than past trips a lot of CMs seemed kind of exhausted, annoyed and just kind of 'over it' - especially cast members on rides. I don't say I'd blame them as this must be a really tough job to deal with huge crowds of all different types of people all day. But it just seems to be different than in the past when they all seemed to be pretty up-beat.

-Drunks in Epcot- I'm the first to say I love walking around World Showcase with a drink in my hand but for some reason we encountered a surprising amount of blacked out drunk people this time. In line for a beer in Canada the guy behind us attempted to make conversation with us but was shouting and slurring his words and loudly dropping the F bomb. Looking back I realize I should have maybe gotten a cast member involved but in the moment we just wanted to get away from him as quick as possible so he would stop talking to us. Also inside Spice Road I went to use the bathroom and there was a woman in the stall for a very long period of time, when the door finally opened she almost face planted out of the stall. Her friend had to pretty much carry her out. These are only two of the instances but there were even more, and this was on a Thursday night. I just don't remember in the past seeing so much of this. It's fine to have a few drinks and relax and have fun but it just seems like an inappropriate place to be so sloppy drunk.

-Lastly- whats with the large groups of teenagers sitting on the ground in walkways!? This drove me nuts!

Overall we really did have a nice time, the weather was absolutely gorgeous! Let me know if you have any questions about our stay.

We were there the same week last year and there was a big cheerleading competition which contributed to the crowds and kids sitting on the walkways.

I tend to agree about the cast members. There were some great ones, but honestly there were a lot who just seemed like they didn't want to be there. It made me a little sad.
