A longer trip report coming, but I wanted to put down some thoughts while they were fresh.
1) Galactic Nights – we seriously considered not doing this as it was our last night and before a seriously early flight. I’m so glad we did it! Great character interactions, a fun scavenger hunt, super short lines at rides, and bonus time with family. A great evening. We can sleep when we're dead, right?
2) Mobile ordering – Do it! We saved so much time at Pinocchio Village Haus, Satu’li Cantina, and Rosie’s All American.
3) FP+ - I loved the old FP system, but I hate to say that I might be a convert? The new system is so easy and getting 4th and 5th FP was so simple. The 3 times we rode Soarin' they were as 4th FP. We easily got every FP that we wanted.
4) Renting a Car – We stayed at Saratoga and loved having a car. Except for MK, we drove to the parks every day and loved the convenience of not waiting for a bus. On our Galactic Nights evening, it was 9 minutes from starting our car to pulling into the front gates (and we walked out of the park directly onto a parking lot tram that was leaving).
5) Saratoga Springs – I know this resort gets a bad rep, but we love it. We were in Congress Park and could easily walk to Disney Springs, plus the gym is top notch. It also never felt far to drive to our favorite parks.
