Literally just got home about an hour ago. I thought while the memories are still fresh, I'd just throw down a couple of things that made an impression on me:
1. MVMCP 12/17 (sold out) was a "one and done" situation for me, I think. I've seen so many "glad we did it but won't do it again" reviews on here, and now I know why. That's exactly how I feel about it. I won't go into great detail, but let's just say it was crowded!
2. Happily Ever After is great, loved it on Youtube, and loved it even more in person. Only drawback was the massive crush of humanity that we had to endure in order to see the show from a decent spot. I don't mind crowds at all, and this situation had me almost nervous. Tons of people.
3. The Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM dessert party was pretty freakin' great, IMO. Better than I expected.
4. Candlelight Processional (with Neil Patrick Harris narrating) was Ah-Maz-Ing!!! The dining package line reached all the way to Morocco and then looped back on itself. I don't know how long the stand-by line got, but it was quite long when we walked by it on the way to our line. That theater holds a lot of people though, and getting in and out was pretty efficient.
5. IllumiNations, for some reason, seemed better than when we saw it last year. I know there is a special holiday tag at that end, but even before that, it just seemed better. The finale in the holiday tag is one of the most impressive fireworks experiences I've ever had. We had a FP+ for this, and watched from right up against that store (can't think of it) that is at the back of one side of the FP+ area. Fabulous view!
6. Got to see Flights of Wonder in AK. I read that it's going away, so I'm glad we got to experience it. Very cool.
7. LOVED the group Joyful in Epcot. So uplifting!
8. Got to see the Voices of Liberty in the rotunda. Magical.
9. Made all FP+ on the fly with MDE. No big headliners, but got Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Pooh, Kilimanjaro, and IllumiNations all last minute.
10. Every single cast member we encountered from housekeeping on up was cheerful, polite, and helpful. I felt like everyone was on their A game.
Great trip! Sorry if this is too long!
