Just back home Sunday night from 10 fantastic days at WDW! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. Here are some details of our trip:

Arrived Thurs, Sept 17th

2 adults and our 13 year old son

Used Disney’s Magical Express for airport transfer and used Disney transportation for duration of trip with a few cab rides thrown in here and there

Stayed 10 nights at All Star Music (standard room in bldg. 2 Jazz Inn)

10 day park Hopper tickets with Water Park, Fun and more option

2 adults and our 13 year old son

We visited each theme park twice, except Magic Kingdom ( 3 visits) and spent 2 mornings at Typhoon Lagoon, 1 morning at Blizzard Beach and 1 afternoon at DisneyQuest and played 1 round of Mini Golf at Fantasia Gardens

Lucky to be able to enjoy Free Dining once again. Here is where we ate:

50’s Prime Time (D)
Teppan Edo (D)
Grand Floridian Café (1 Lunch and 1 Dinner)
Wolfgang Puck Café (D)
Sci-Fi (L)
Le Cellier (D)
Yak & Yeti (D)
O’Hana (D)
ESPN Club (D)

If anybody would like information on anything I’ve listed, fire away!

Sounds like a great trip Lisa. Are you planning to post a full TR?

That IS a far walk! I know because our 1st night was spent on 3rd floor, farthest room in block, Bldg 4 of Rock section. I gladly waited it out for my ground floor Jaz Inn room....what a difference! :) Did you try to change rooms?

I'll be getting to full dining reviews later this week. Got some work to catch up on around here first. :guilty: Where oh where are my maids, servers, cooks and drivers gone??????? :sad1:

Why would you of all people eat in Canada? :confused3

It was! I wish it was this time, last week right now! :guilty:
Yes...I'll write full reviews as soon as I tackle some things around here.

I'd love to hear about Le C, 'Ohana, and Y and Y!

Le Cellier was good. Not great...and maybe not as good as any other times we've eaten there (each trip)..but...it MAY be because Grand Floridian Cafe BLEW OUR MINDS with the best steak dinner EVER!!! People aren't kidding when they refer to that place as a 'hidden gem of WDW'...ended up going twice just so we could eat that meal again. So, when I got my steak at Le Cellier I wasn't as bowled over as I usually am. I ordered the Filet Mignon but without the mucsrooms, truffle sauce or whatever it was so server said I could have it plain or with a Maple BBQ glaze....I've had that before so I opted for it again. It was just glopped on so much that it overwhelmed the entire meal. :guilty: Not their fault, I just didn't enjoy it all that much. My son had the same meal but the way it's on the menu and he LOVED it. My husband also really enjoyed his Prime Rib (he ordered that as the Full Meal Chef Selection thing). I will say that Le Cellier still has THE BEST Maple Creme Brulee ever! :cloud9:

Why would you of all people eat in Canada? :confused3

Because I, of all people, know that we Canadians are the BEST DARN COOKS EVER!!!!! :snooty:

Geeesh!

Plus I got up really, really early one morning and snuck in an ADR for this place where all the cool folks get to eat. :surfweb:

Did they serve you frozen food oh queen of the arctic???

Crap! Does this mean I've let it be known to you guys over the years that I'm a lousy cook? I DEPEND on frozen entrees, my friend! :headache:

O'Hana: well this one WAS interesting! We have always eaten at O'Hanas for our 1st meal. This year we made it our last ADR. Had 7pm reservation...showed up around 6:30..place was packed for both O'Hana and Kona...and were seated just before our scheduled time. Anyhoo...seating girl takes us on the normal tour and takes a long, convoluted route to our table. She shows us to a table for 2 with a 3rd chair placed at the side. This table was right on the main aisle...right where everybody walks by, singer does his/her thing/kids play, etc, etc. Was not thrilled with this one and spotted a window table a few rows over. It was also the same size but we would have had alot more room due to the location. Asked her if we could be moved to that table instead. She says she'll check, tells us to sit down but not touch anything on the table ( like I need to be told this???:confused3) and goes off to check. A good 5 minutes later she comes back and tells me that the table we want is reserved. A window reserved table. Yeah...okay! NOT! I say to her that she knows as well as I do that O'Hana will NEVER guarantee anybody a window table and I'm not very impressed that they're trying to pull one on us. Told her all they have to do is seat us THERE and seat the later arriving party HERE. She runs off again and then comes and tells me virtually the same thing BUT she can give us a 4 top table at "the far, far end of the restaurant" . You mean just on the other side of the fire pit? Duh! Okay...we'll take that. It ended up being a window table as well, which was a bonus. I have to say that all this kind of soured me on the experience. I HATE being lied to and HATE that they are sometimes just too lazy to change a few things around here and there. Would have advised a Manager but just didn't feel it was that important to cause a fuss over at the end of the day.

Anyways....service was spotty at best but food was delicious! So sad that they got rid of the scalloped potatoes but the noodles are very good and probably more in line with the rest of the food served.
Lovely tossed salad to start followed by Honey sticky chicken wings, pork dumplings/pot stickers, then came noodles, broccoli and meat sauce. Skewers of Turkey, Pork, Steak and Shrimp. All cooked perfectly (I didn't eat any Shrimp though). followed by a fabulous bread pudding type of dessert. We practically rolled out of the place. :headache:

Yak & Yeti

Ate there on Friday, 4:45 ADR. Arrived about a half hour early and we were seated within minutes. Cool place! This was our 1st time eating here and we were really looking forward to it.

They went to seat us at a table in the middle of the room and my husband asked if we could sit at one of the empty table with the windows overlooking the park (we were on 2nd floor). No problem! Great table! Not so great server. I mean she didn't do anything wrong but was very unenthusiastic about our menu questions and seemed bent on just selling us the most expensive meals on the menu. We were sking her about the Wok meals (that is what we came for) and she sort of screwed up her face and told us that the Ribs or the Steak and Shrimp were so much better. We still opted for the Wok dinners (I had Beef with Broccoli; DH had Sweet & Sour Pork and DS had Crispy Honey CDhicken) and when we had ordered i said something like "hope we made the right decisions" and she just sort of shrugged her shoulders and walked away!!!! Oh well...whatever.

The food was very good. Oh...we also ordered the appetizer Deep Fried Green Beans as I had heard so much about them...they were good but probably not something I'd tend to order again. My meal was voted best of the 3, hands down. We all had the Deep Fried Cream cheese and pineapple wontons for desert and they are HEAVENLY!!!! I was forcing myself to finish them they were so good!!! You MUST try this dessert!:cloud9:

Yak & Yeti was our son's fave place and came up on the high end of our list. Would go back again for sure! :thumbsup2

:confused3 Wow! Sorry again. Don't know why the Yak & Yeti review wants to keep popping up!
