My DD12 and I spent an amazing 10 days @ WDW and then on the DC Wonder.
Here is our schedule if you have any questions. Thank-you Disboards for assisting my planning for a truly magical trip.

9/27- Stayed @ BCV- did Spirit of Aloha
9/28- MK- Lunch @ Liberty Tree - Saw Philharmonic too!
VIP seating for parade (must do!- silver wishes)
Evening Hoop Dee Doo - corny fun
9/29- Off site VIP tour US & IOA- a blast
9/30- Surf Lessons for DD12- TL & BB + Mickey's BBQ (not my kind of gig- only dissapointment of trip)
10/1- Epcot- Did Living Sea snorkel/scuba in the tank! Must do!
MS- was fine- did it 5 times- you'll be fine - don't worry! (But let's not get carried away- while innovative it is lacking something in the "story-line".
Switch to MGM- Brown Derby Fantasmic Dinner
10/2- Back to MGM- Sci-Fi lunch- (this was way 2 cool- lots of fun atmosphere)
Fulton's Crab House (amazing) Cirque (incredible)
10/3-AK- VIP Parade (silver wishes)- Rain Forest lunch- FOLK + Tarzan
10'4-Epcot -Lunch @ L'Orginale + Dinner @ Bistro de Paris- VIP MK electric parade

Sounds like you had a blast!!

How was lunch @ L'Originale, I'm torn between lunch between there and Le Cellier for our trip in December and would like to get your view.

Thanks,
Katherine

Lunch @ L'Originale was terrific. Really nice waiters and very fresh pasta and fish. The highlight for anyone visiting Epcot is to be sure you see the 2 outside shows in Italy.
The "Statue"- a very skilled performer who dramatically and humorously portrays an Italian marble statue-
- The Masquerade show - beautiful show.

Don't miss either.

My DDs(10&13) have told me they want to learn to surf since seeing it on the Travel Channel's "Secrets of WDW".
Any info on that would be helpful (age restrictions, cost, where to call to sign-up,...).

Thanks,
Ken

Okay- another major highlight of our trip was watching my DD12 surfing @ TL. I signed up through the sports/recreation center (# is available through reservations). Please make a reservation in advance- they offer it only 2 days a week and we did a Tuesday morning. We had to be there @ 6:00 am- and had to make our own arrangements from the BC to TL (taxi- fairly easy to use @ WDW).

I'm not sure about age limits (my daughter is 12 and did great)- but the staff are true surfing veterans and while we live in Newport Beach- we have never surfed.
They help guide you personally in the surfing process. There were about 10 other surfers and it lasted a full 3 1/2 hours. My DD12 was sure pooped afterwards- but she had loads of fun- got up- and I video'd her every move. Loved it- the whole staff there was very supportive, excited, and made it a pleasure. While I didn't do it- (I wanted to video my daughter) I wouldn't hesitate to do it @ TL (the perfect waves) -I'm 43.
