JUST ARRIVED!!! Fall/ Fall Advantage

Hey,
So I got here about 3 days ago and I just went to the Rainforest Cafe dinner Cast Member Meet and Greet thing. It was cool and fun met a few people but it occurred to me that all of the people I have met on here and Facebook, I could not recognize or see if I saw you. So I'm not sure if anyone on here was there but at some point, when we get assigned rooms and such, I figured I would make this if anyone has ideas on at least how to say hello when we are all settled, in person, that would be cool. It would be nice for most of us (personally, anyway) to meet my online "Family" here on DisBoards. Is that too creepy lol? Figured once everyone gets settled, where you are working and that sort of thing specific enough to meet like name and workplace or job, or meet at a location, but not like "I live here and I'll leave a key to my apartment lol. So, ummm, yea. AND CHECK-IN TOMORROW!!!!! I will officially be a cast member for the Walt Disney World Resort tomorrow!!!

As a parent, if it's not too weird, I would like to meet and thank some of the "cyber" people that have helped me help my DD as she gets ready for her FA CP (arriving June 15). I'm coming with her in June but returning to CA immediately to finish school. The whole family will be coming in August. It would be fun to play "Where in the World is....." and meet some of the wonderful Disfolks.

I don't think that's weird. Last summer, I was able to meet several people from FB, and it was great! I hope to meet more people this time around.

same here from everyone I talked to on facebook I didn't recognize many people

I've found that people usually look slightly different than they do in facebook pictures; I don't know what it is.

This same thing happened to me the summer before my freshman year in college. I was on Facebook 24/7 and when I got there I didn't really recognize people. I also notice that people are a lot shorter (and not-so attractive) in person when compared to Facebook photos. So, I keep that in mind. Well congrats to everyone there! I am glad you had a safe trip-please continue to keep us posted!
