For those of you who played the Coca Cola Olympic Game and won TONS of FREE Coke coupons...Today is the last day to use them. They have an 8/31/06 expiration date. Just thought I would remind everyone in case you still have a few to use.

I got my last 10 bottles yesterday (I cleaned them out of diet coke). :rolleyes1 I think the cashiers are very happy this is over - they always had a problem taking the $7.50 off because it had to be done manually.

I was just going to post a reminder as well! :thumbsup2

I used my last 3 coupons yesterday- I have soooooooooo much soda in the basement now- I really have to start drinking it!

Don't forget to use your coupons everyone!!! :wave2:

oooh, thanks for the reminder. I had 2 left, I just gave one of them to a co-worker. I'll run after work and buy some.

I only won 5 bottles and used it today. Our grocery store stinks. They dont even have minute maid 2 liter products and no caffeine free regular coke, so I got 3 sprite and 2 coke and made sure she had to scan the l coupon 5 times.

We've been buying like mad trying to use these up this week. I need to find some boxes that I can stack because one whole corner of our kitchen floor is covered, LOL!

We got some yesterday and the Coke guy was there and gave us the OK to get Dr. Pepper. He said some stores (Kroger) won't allow it, but most should. . . so all this time we coulda had Dr. Pepper! We stocked up yesterday though, LOL.

Carrie, I know what you mean! I have so many bottles of diet coke, I am running out of spots to put them. Can't keep them in the garage-the heat kills off the sweetener. Also, my Target has been very low on Diet Coke, etc. this whole last month. The best selection I found was Albertsons. Walmart was #2. I'm going to have to try to use more than 1 at a time, I guess. I still have 6-7 (and that was after sending my niece 7 last week) I had a total of 32!

I'm glad it's ending. :goodvibes

My husband ran around like a nut last night using up our last 12 coupons. They were such a pain to use in all of the stores near us. Managers had to be called, customers in line behind us. Everytime we used them, we were embarassed and it took forever. We are just happy to have so much free Coke. I guess it was worth it. I just hope next time, they make the coupons easier for the cashiers!!!

I had managers called on mine too - I think they thought they were fake. He asked me "WHERE did you get these?" abd I had to explain.

I tried to use my last 4 today at Wal-Mart. It would only scan once so the cashier hadn't a clue as to what to do. She went and got her manager who helped her but he told me I could only use one (because it says 1 coupon per purchase) So I said fine, I will keep coming back through the line making a new purchase. He then said it had expired anyway at midnight last night. I said "no it expires at midnight on the 31st. He said yes, this is the 31st, so it has expired. This was a very young manager who hadn't a clue what he was talking about. Anyway they only let me use one coupon so I went to another store and got the rest without a problem. I hope if Coke does this again they will make it easier to use, and I won't wait until the last day to redeem them all!!

LOL! Yeah, I was getting questioned constantly on the Dr Pepper thing. I just explained politely (except today, when I ended up bagging most of it myself) to each cashier that (a) Coca Cola bottles Dr Pepper in this area and (b) every time they have Coke on sale, the sale includes Dr Pepper.

One of my coworkers mentioned the same issue (her impression, not the store's restriction. It's too late now, but that's a standard coupon "rule", and it means you can't use, say, three fifty-cents-off coupons on a single bottle of Coke (for example); one coupon/one bottle.

But that's better than the trouble some users were having at Walmart at first. At least one person posted that her Walmart would only let her get two bottles free - despite the coupon being valid for five bottles and, more important, that Walmart will get reimbursed for FIVE, not two, bottles, per coupon

Anyway, I ended up giving coupons away to people in the store today, because I had all the Diet Dr Pepper already and really didn't want any of the Coke products... but I forced myself :)

I found the store where they were easiest to use and kept going back. DS and I used the last 2 yesterday.

All of his friends have been talking about the soda stash we have in our basement. They go down to play video games and tell him how lucky he is! :rotfl:

We are scrambling to use them up. Dh is at the store right now as I type getting the last ones in. I stoppped earlier today. Spent like 150.00 on other groceries trying to finish some coupons. They got me... :rotfl2:

I used my last one today at CVS (it's close to work). It was a challenge carrying the 5 bottles in those little CVS bags out to the car without a shopping cart! Somehow two of the bags (three bottles of soda) ended up looped over just my pointer finger and I dropped a bottle of soda on my foot as I was going out the door. Thank goodness the paparazzi doesn't follow me around - I must have looked like such a clutz! :lmao:

Isn't it going to stink when we actually have to *gasp* PAY for soda again?

Here's a funny story you'll all appreciate.

My aunt stopped at Walmart to use her last coupon (we were just there a couple days ago and they struggled - it's one of the places we've been going to this whole time) The coupon finally scans and takes off 5 2-liters!! :rotfl:
