Just a question, not a debate, about child harnesses =)

I find the harness very useful for the airport and car rental counters when I'm traveling. You have so much stuff, you can put the harness on child and hold the harness along with some luggage and such.
When you're talking to people at airport counter and such kids can wonder off easily

I think that is a little old for a harness. I plan to bring one for my 18 month old. It looks like a pink purse. It is really cute. I don't know if I will use it but it will be there in case I need it.

I think if you feel more comfortable with having one than take it, you may or may not use it, but you will have it there just in case

I have been thinking of doing the exact same thing...and I'm from a large city. My 3 year old to be is a runner...and he HATES hand holding. My dh was totally against it, but even his mom said it might be a good idea. I love the monkey one they have at Walmart. And since it's a back pack, you can detatch the strap when he is too old to use it as a harness. The crowds are what scare me. I'm also going to get those velcro id braclets and sticking on on my 4 year old, my 3 year old and my 6 year old. My eldest will have a phone and my youngest will be in the stroller or being held.....we are severely outnumbered. :)
