Background: DD is 9yo now and when I was pg with her, I lost her twin in the first trimester. I was so sad and spent the next 6.5 months worried to death that I would lose her too. About 3 or 4 weeks before I delivered, I had a very, very vivid dream. In it, I was holding DD's sister, a little curly haired blond named Isabella and watching myself give birth to DD. Weird sounding but when I woke up, I felt very peaceful, I knew the baby was safe in heaven and waiting for us.

Fast forward to yesterday...DD has a strong, active imagination and is always making up stories and inventing people and crazy situations...so she came and sat down next to me and said, I want to introduce you to...wait for it...Isabella...:scared1: then DD said, "She has curly yellow hair and is wearing...(something I can't remember because I was in shock)...

Obviously given her age, DH and I have never said anything about her twin. It was too early to say whether is was a girl or not, though I feel it was. We know no one named Isabella, no one at school, no Disney name, nothing.

The rational part of my brain says coincidence, the emotional side says "Whoa!"

The same thing happened to me with my youngest son.

That is pretty weird, though Isabella is a pretty popular name right now. You never know. Maybe she met her special guardian angel. :)

My son keeps telling me he wishes he had a twin. It kind of pulls at my heart a bit.

Oh that wasn't freaky, that was just your little angel paying you a visit.:cloud9: Isn't that wonderful? Thats how they do it, in small little ways.:) She's still with you, that was her way of saying hello:littleangel:

That is a big coincidence. I would say that your DD has a very special guardian angel.

I think this is wonderful. Small children are more perceptive/receptive to this kind of thing because they haven't been told yet that it can't be so to see and talk to spirits/loved ones who have passed. I think your little girl Isabella wanted you to know that she is ok and that she will always look after your DD. I also believe that loved ones who have passed can reach us in our dreams, I have had it happen a couple of times... one night my exH and I (after our divorce) both dreamt of his mother who passed the previous year... she was talking about our son and telling us to be good to each other because it would affect him if we weren't. My ex is NOT a believer in this type of stuff at all, and this really freaked him out (and changed some of his jerkedness towards me too, thanks Marie!!!). My son also used to tell me that before he was born, while he was still in heaven, he picked me to be his mother because I would love him best. Who knows what is out there after this life is over? I know some people don't believe in this kind of thing, but why can't it be real? I believe and it gives me great comfort.

Not freaky! Kids have a sense about these things :)

When Kate was just little, under 2, we were looking at a photo album that she hadnt seen before. She patted my dads picture and smiled and said "Pappa! Pappa!!" This is strange because we had never called him that ( or her other Grandpa for that matter) and my dad had been dead for more than 5 years at that point. It made me cry but I was happy at the same time.

Sweet story! I'm so glad Isabella has visited!

I totally believe your DD Isabella was with you both. Another sweet message from her to let you know everything is good for her and will be for your other DD.

The night that my DB17 was hit and killed by a train, I was asleep and was awakened by a train whistle. I went to the living room and sat down in the floor in the dark. It got really cool and peaceful and the front door popped open. Then DB's GF came out of my guest room and sat down in the floor. She said "did you hear it? It's him isn't it?" I nodded to her and we sat and enjoyed the peacefulness of it all. A few minutes later, the train whistle blew again and the peaceful feeling and the coolness was gone. The crazy part of it is that we didn't live near a RR track so we could normally not hear a train there.

ABSOLUTELY!

Keep your heart, eyes and mind open and you'll see and feel Isabella each time she "visits". Encourage your daughter to tell you more about her! As her twin, they DO have that connection.

I have a grown family member who is mentally disabled. She was very close with her father. About 10 years ago her father passed, but he continued to "visit" her in her dreams. She did not think they were dreams, but actual visits - they were that vivid. They'd go on picnics together, and have fun times (in the dreams) and her mother would actually find her outright laughing full force in her sleep sometimes. (she never did that before.) I believe it kept her "connected" to him and eased her into the transition to life without him present. He still visits her, but a little less often now.

I believe this, too! How wonderful!

I agree! :littleangel:

I agree that your daughter paid her twin a visit and that kids are more open to that kind of thing.

Not freaky at all. Cherish Isabella's visits. My mom used to visit, but doesn't any more. :sad2:

It is so nice to hear of other's experiences. I think of Isabella often and as time has gone by, it is easier. It is lovely to think that she visits DD and they have a connection in some way.
