Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I can't wrap my head around Disney using anything from Marvel comics.
I don't know how that would fit into any of the parks.

It could pretty easily fit into DHS, even if it's just for greeting the characters.

I don't think Disney needs superheroes...I mean...I know they're trying to reach out to the little boys, but still...

Universal just has it with superheroes...Marvel SuperHero Island is beastly in its own right. The Amazing Adventures of SpiderMan is easily one of the best rides I've ever been on.

Yeah, I really think Marvel is more of your average business opprotunity, like them distributing Miyazaki films- you don't see any of those in the parks (but Totoro is in the new Toy Story 3)

I don't watch the parades anyway. I really must watch Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade though. The music reminds me so much of Disney, but i've never seen it.
Watch it, you silly! It's my new favorite WDW parade!

MSEP...still not sure on my feelings of it. Supposedly it has (or, at least, in the original) a Pete's Dragon float with Elliott on it...that's good enough for me, as I love that movie to death.

Still has the Pete's Dragon float.

I came close to watching it, but I couldn't tell if it had past, or was about to come up, so I just left...

Yessssss! :teeth:

Watch it this time! Please! It has really great music, and it makes you wanna get up and dance!

Plus, the floats/puppets are really cool.

Yeah it does.. the entire Float is Elliot with Pete riding him and shouting cute things.

Elliot spews smoke and makes odd noises... but his wings move now!!

The MSEP, I think, will always be my favorite Disney parade, followed closely by Dreamlights.

Yay! I read that in one edition of MSEP, the Elliott float "disappeared", and then "reappeared", just like he does in the movie.

Dreamlights? What was that?

Dreamlights, exceptionally similar to the MSEP, plays at Tokyo Disneyland. It's an advanced technology version of the MSEP, with different floats (but the MSEP uses Dreamlights music now).

The person who made the presentation about what's coming up said the fireworks show is brand new to Walt Disney World, and not Magical from Disneyland.

I'm curious to see the new drop profile for Tower of Terror.

Same - can't wait for that one! Also hope they bring back the dessert party (buffet thing) at night for $18 a person and a view of the fireworks ... especially if it's going to be something new!!!!

I'm sad that I won't be able to experience the summernightastic.
But I bet it will be amazing (:

I won't go on ToT, so that won't affect me :p

I hope they do the dessert party again. Me & my dad enjoyed it. Worst part was the rain, which meant there was no Tinkerbell...

From the new article on MiceAge:

"So earlier this winter the WDW executives in Orlando made a pitch to borrow the Electrical Parade for a bargain price during that period and use it to try and duplicate the success Disneyland had last summer with the Nightastic! promotion. The Anaheim executives are insisting that Orlando only gets the parade for just under two years, and the current agreement has the parade being shipped back to Disneyland just after Easter vacation of 2012."
