Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I don't have much to add to the current conversation.

Here's a task for you guys. Come up with an idea for a ride themed around the Princess & the Frog.

teehee i already did...It's already in my notebook :D!

I have no ideas, but then again, I haven't seen the movie.

Wasn't there a rumour they were going to turn the old Skyway building in Fantasyland into a meet & greet area for Tiana? I rather like the design of that building, but it doesn't really fit into the area it's at.

I'm wondering... Is there a way they can change the exterior of WDW's IASW to look like the others, or is it infeasible?

Based on the location (squashed betwween buildings), I'm going to say no. Every other IASW is kind of a stand alone structure, separated from other Fantasyland buildings.

Makes sense. But then, taking a look at Google Maps, the only building connected to IASW is Pinnochio's Village Haus. Albeit, looking at Disneyland's map, it really is away from other buildings, so if they wanted to build a facade that Disneyland's then it would mean either moving the ride during the renovation of Fantasyland, or knocking down Pinnochio's Village Haus. I don't think Disney would really do either.

Yeah, moving the ride would really be the only way, which wouldn't happen because the ride building is HUGE, and I believe attached to the HM? but they could just be really close.

They could possibly give the illusion that Pinnochio's Village Haus is further away from IASW? I dunno. Looks like the tent is there to stay.

It's a bit of a shame they chose to do the WDW IASW the way they did.

The later parks have big facades, even if they load/queue on the inside.

Do you remember the reason why they didn't choose a big facade like the others?

I think it might have been Florida weather or a budget cut.

'cause Florida weather is easily avoided by making the queue and loading inside the ride building, still, like HK and Paris.

FL weather is why the teacups have a cover over them. The water stops the mechanics from working and they have to close the ride.

A glass cover would be nice. Maybe coloured glass that made wonderland-y type patterns when the sun shines.

I got that a month or two before I went to WDW. It was fun to try and find everything.

I'm a little miffed at the Haunted Mansion section.. that is poor, awful research there.

The corpse in the stretch room is NOT Gracey, nor is the proper name "Gracey Manor" Dx
