just a couple of things you should know about okw

Can someone please explain to me why you'd need to override the AC? We've been staying at OKW since '94...the AC has always worked just fine. What am I missing???

The AC sensor seem to be more sensitive in the rehabbed rooms, the thermostats (at least in the studios) has been moved into the main part of the room. It used to be in the kitchenette area. That said, we did not need to override the settings in June.

wow
If i offended anyone I am sorry. I just thought it was interesting that the ac kicks off so easily. One of the reasons we stay there is because we are treated like we belong there even if we don;t own points. We were staying in a refurbished room and it was quite nice. Trust me I know out house keeping isn;t free and I paid for it. Just trying to get a little info out there of what I was told. Since I don;t own points I usually don;t come to these boards.
Thanks!

In 30+ stays (75% of them in an OKW 2br) since becoming members in 2000, I've never been asked if we were members when reporting any issue. Thankfully I've never had A/C issues. As far as housekeeping, towels, coffee, yada, yada, I knew what I signed up for when I bought into DVC and I have problems with it.

Who knows, you can query one MS person after another and often get different answers!

We have been members of DVC since 1997 and OKW is one of our home resorts. I have never seen any distinction between owners and those paying cash. I am not saying that they do not exist but, if they do, they most likely keep the cost of dues down. I have always been treated great when I stay at OKW and look forward to be welcomed home.
