Jurassic Park

I'm a massive Jurassic Park but due to an overwhelming water ride phobia (I even get scared on IASW and not for the reason most people do) I can't ride the river adventure As a result we always seem to walk through that area of IOA really fast which disappoints me. What else is there to do there or 2/3 adults? We always visit Orlando end the end of Sept/early Oct so the visitors centre is often closed.

One more thing on the subject - are there ever any characters from the movies hanging around like Dr Grant or Mr Hammond? I'd love to have a pic with them but I've never seen mention of them anywhere.

The ride's too much for me, too. I've done it twice and had to really psyche myself up for it. Sad because I'm so in to JP movies!!!

DH and I don't have kids and usually stay on site, so we grab some brewskies, find a nice spot by a smoking section, light up some stackers, people watch and enjoy the scenery/sounds while we enjoy some brew. We always go in September, and I've never found the visitor's center closed. Maybe try again?

I've seen Mr. Hammond walking around one time on our very first trip years ago. I always look for him, since now we take pictures with our digital camera, but we haven't seen him again.

i like the river adventure ride.

i wear my poncho, and sit in the front rows in the middle if i can.
i go first week of oct so not many are on this ride. last year i was by myself on it two times.


i always duck down by the bar when the drops come.
i freak out on the drops and this way, don't get wet.


i love the rest of the ride. so kewl

There have been rumours floating around for quite a while about a new ride going in where the Triceratops trail used to be. Let's all keep our fingers crossed. Too bad a SheiKra couldn't have gone in there!

I love JPRA too but can't wait for another ride in the JP area.
