Yea, that is the main reason why I'd never homeschool. I love interacting with other people. I loved (most) classes. High school was really a great time for me and I miss the environment of it.

Hate to be the Debbie Downer, but you're going to have to grow some tough skin and get use to it. HS gets no better for girls and drama... For guys HS drama is a breeze.

And if the people don't have the balls to say who was talking about you or what was said, then most likely it's just a rumor. I remember missing a day of school because of a concussion and half the people when I came back thought I had to have brain surgery.

That is so true. In the 9th grade I just started thinking would what these people think of me now affect me 10 years from now? No. It doesn't take away all the pain and hurt but it does help.

The ages 11-14 were the worst. A lot of stupid and childish drama still, as people are searching for where they 'fit in'. Once you get to high school, it'll improve but in someways will get even worse. The dramas are way more intense and the arguments are over more adult things. People tend to be more mature about it or hide their true feelings and alot of *****ing behinds peoples backs.

Unfortunately, its a sad aspect of being a teenager.

100% agree, although I did not decide I wanted to go back to public school. Mainly because I have just recently discovered how un-wise the decision to do homeschool really was. Not sure if running back to public school would have really helped any, though.

My sleep schedule was all out of wack, my social life was very poor and I didn't have much self-motivation to get things done.

Cassidy, what you really have to do is just stick it out. High school won't be much better but it's only a few years. Because once you're out of there I can GUARENTEE you that life will be so much better.

College, jobs and real-life don't care if you're wearing the latest fashions or you're 'in' with a certain crowd.

JH and HS are the worst times of most peoples life, you are not alone.

Everyone says that, but honestly I love JHS! Maybe because I love drama. Starting it, being in it, finishing it... everyone says I should be on a reality show. The problem is that the villain never wins, so I wouldn't.

I did read the whole sentence, and i did notice that you were referring to yourself. But because you said that was the reason you decided to homeschool, I was just saying that not everyone who decides to homeschool does it because of drama.

I didnt realize that I was being defensive. I thought I was merely stating that the homeschool stereotypes which were mentioned were not always applicable in every situation.

i dont know what grade your in. but in 14. and i just get out of middle school and am very happy :] [and now im a freshman] so last year.. i had a really great bond with me and a group of 4 girls. we were so close. we knew everything about each other and i still know alot about them. towards the end of 8th grade [last year] they started being REALLY annoying and mean and rude and i didnt want to deal with them anymore. over the summer i started to become really close with my friend amanda whos now my best friend. on my birthday.. i had a little party. i invited like.. 6 girls over. and none of them were within my little group of 4. so then that night.. my best friend who lives in another town and one of my other friends slept over [again none of my group]we had a lot of fun and then @ like 1am we decided to prank call ppl. so we pranked a bunch of random ppl nd thn i decided we should prank my group. it was really funny cause thy didnt answer and we left voice messages. the next day.. 2 of th girls frm my group IMd me nd wer like.. y did u prank us nd i denied it as a joke. they could tell it was me. after that talk.. they didnt call me, invite me places, nothing. i mean.. i understand why they wouldnt but it was annoying. we had plans to go to a water park near by and had been planning for a while.. one of their parents were taking us. i got a call.. they told me i couldnt come. the rest of the summer they started prank calling me, talking about me online and stuff.. and it got really bad. i was so upset. i couldnt handle it. it got really bad and all i wanted to do was move away and just... leave basically. my other friends helped me get through it and after a while i just stoped caring. now.. i have a really great group of friends and am happy

heres what i suggest you do. if you want to be friends with whoever still. you REALLY need to talk to them and talk to the people who are hurting your friendship. also.. i talked to my family alot.. and im really close to my cousins and mom and aunts etc. whoever can help you is good. also.. i listened to music alot and got involved with alot of things i love. if things get really crazy and you start thinking of seriously like.. hurting yourself.. you should really go to therapy. it helps. my friend was going through a HUGE change in her life b.c of parents and stuff.. and it helpd her ALOT!

Honestly, I HATED middle school. With every ounce of my being.
It sucked. Bunches. And everyone was awkward and angry and lashing out.

But for me, high school has been nothing but an amazing experience.
The kids that I hang out with don't deal with the whole "drama" thing.
Because picking fights within your own group of friends is stupid and damaging.

Of course there's still all the boy stuff. Except it's way more enjoyable now ;]
But basically what I'm saying is it DOES get better.
And getting homeschooled to avoid some drama won't help you at all in the long run.

And don't be so defeatist about it.
Saying you'd rather die than go to school is fairly melodramatic. Because it's not really THAT bad. Just try talking it out with the girls.
And if they won't listen, make some new friends.

I remember those days so well. All the bickering and back stabbing that went on. One day you are super dooper good friends with someone the next you hate them more than anything.
Let me tell you though it changes. As some of you know I attend Catholic School and it goes from Kindergarten to 12th grade so a lot of the same girls are the ones from Middle School. We laugh hysterically about some of the memories we have from middle school. So my advice is to attempt to trudge through those years and it will change for the better come 10th grade where I am at right now.

I never miss private school. At all. We had the exact same things for lunch every day of every week. Monday- seniors made something, Tuesday-subway, Wednesday-papa johns, Thursday-chick-fil-a, Friday-arbys. And it was the very same thing every day every week, every year. Our water fountains were gross. Our desks were plastic and very weird and uncomfortable and most were broken. And I hate to say it, but our teachers usually dressed pretty nicely! lol. But they always caught us when we passed notes. I really dont miss any of it. When my friends talk to me about their days, I kinda miss those off-hand random moments with random people. But I dont miss that enough to go back to normal school.

Yeah.. middle school was awful- super drama constantly, and I was always stuck in the middle of it- two of my best friends were constantly at each others' throats (still are, actually, I'm just not really friends with either of them anymore- one of them is a ***** [pardon my French] and a homophobe/racist, and I've just grown apart from the other one.)
