I Heard Jungle Jim's in Church Street has Gone can anyone confirm this and can anyone tell me if the other one in Crossroads Lake Buena vista is still open????

The one in lake buena vista is open, but its AWFUL!!!!!

Nothing great about the themeing, which was disapointing, service is awful, and food is your typical mcdonalds.

Certainly not worth the prices they charge IMHO.

We loved JJs at LBV but maybe we're just easy to please.
The service we had was fantastic as was the food - but we're not too choosy as long as it's edible and pleasant tbh.

We loved JJ's at Crossroads both times we went there :teeth:

We loved JJ's too! The portions were huge BTW - and the staff were so friendly!

Have to agree, both times we've been to JJ's at LBV the food has been good, servings huge and service great. In fact last October we found ourselves sitting underneath an aircon machine which was freezing, so I asked if we could move and it was done within a milisecond:D

We had such a laugh there, too, that night as The Balloon Man came a-calling. He was hilarious and treated both children and adults alike to brilliantly. He had the whole restaurant in stitches and if I knew how to post my photo of Katie with her 'flowerpot' balloon on her head I would:p

We enjoyed our meal when we went to JJ's. Like said the portions were huge.
We would go again.

We really enjoyed JJ's at Crossroads last November and agree the Balloon man was brill as was the service and no complaints about the food.

I've always been pleased with JJ at LBV and although it could never be accused of being gourmet food I think they provide good value for money, kids like the atmosphere and the service has always been more than adiquate and at times very good.

It worth considering going on a Sunday lunchtime if you plan to include it in your itinerary and that works, they bring animals in for an hour or so as a treat for the kids to see and (depending animal) pet. Check with the restaurant but on the day we visited they had booked a pair of tiger cubs to appear. I believe the animals show up about 2.00 but it may vary so call and check if this is something you want to coincide with.

I've been to Jungle Jims a couple of times in the last year and found the service to be wonderful and the food excellent. I had the filet mignion (sp) last time and it was wonderful - couldn't finish it all as the portion was sooooo big.

Would recommend it to anyone, in fact did to some friends who originally turned their noses up but having been there, they love it to.

Maybe we hit them on the wrong day LOL!!!!

Personally, and as you can see lots disagree with me,i think there are far better places to eat then this!,

DH loves this place and Im not so keen! Although, I did prefer the one at Church St to the LBV one. We didnt go there this year (though DH tried desperately to fit it in!). My main gripe is that the place is pretty tatty round the edges and I found the tables sticky and not as clean as I would like or expect. The food is Ok, portions huge, but no better than the like of TGIs, Chilis or Outback (which I find cleaner and more agreeable). Personally, I find the idea of Tiger Cubs bought into a restaurant as particularly unpleasant..more for the animals than the humans! I never knew they did this and this makes my return even more unlikely.

Yes, the downtown JJ's (in Church Street Exchange) has closed, I'm afraid.

I have been to JJ's twice. The first time, two years ago we really enjoyed it, food was geat, really good value. Last year we visited again and while the food was good, the place was filthy. Food littered the floor and the tables. The waitress said they'd had a party of school children in, but made no effort to seat us anywhere else (the place was practically empty) and made a half hearted effort to sweep up some chips. While the food was mainly good(there was something wrong with mums, but I can't remember what it was now!) the place strook me badly in need of re-furbishment and a clean! Maybe we just hit on a bad day, but it has put me off the place.

We've been to jj's a couple of times, the last time the wild life was in my Wife's sandwich, a dead fly!!! They were sorry and brought a new one for her, (not fly, sandwich) but I'd of expected more than that if I was to consider returning.

Jules,

For the record I'm not a fan either!!

I must admit I did like my chicken/pineapple & terriyaki burger but overall I found the restaurant a bit grubby and overpriced. Much prefer TGI's.

We went to Jungle Jims many years ago, last time we went to Florida and were hoping to go back but now I`m not so sure.... can you please tell me where else there is to eat which is nearby and also at Cross Roads. Thanks

You could always try Pebbles Restaurant - cosier and less "touristy" than the likes of TGI Fridays.

Jungle Jim's overpriced !!! Are you sure, it has to be one of the most reasonably priced table service restaurants in Orlando.
