 Hi All,

Does anyone know where we can find Jungle Jims, and do you have any info on menus?(is there one in the Crossroads shopping centre?):)

Thanx,
Luv Audrey.

Yes, there is one at The Crossroads, Lake Buena Vista. There used to be another at Church Street Station, but I think that closed a couple of years ago. I have a menu from a year or two back, if you would like I can scan and paste it here for you. Dont think its changed much, except the prices possibly!!

Personally we thought this was awful!(although obviously some will disagree).
Just a typical burger joint, with some themeing, bad service, and nothing special!!

SORRY
Jules

Just wanted to say that we really enjoyed our meals at JJ (Crossroads) :)

This isn't a disagreement with Jules' view, just a different opinion. As Jules says, we don't all like the same things (and wouldn't life be boring if we did?).

Without wanting to open a can of worms as I did previously in a thread involving Ponderosa restaurants....I have to say I find Jungle Jims pretty poor. On the flipside, my hubby LOVES it, so Im dragged in kicking and screaming at least once.

Food is OK (and there is mounds of it) but its sooooooo tacky and extremely tatty. Its not the cleanest kid on the block either, so be warned. They really need a refurb DESPERATELY. I have also heard they bring in live animals like Tiger Cubs, which personally makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Until you try it for yourself, I guess you wont know how you feel about the place.....horses for courses and all that!

Allie...honestly, there are SOME restaurants I like.;)

They do bring in Tiger Cubs for the kids to stroke. We went in February and I believe this takes place on a Sunday. We were told that there is a specially trained keeper on hand to supervise but we still felt a bit uneasy.

They also have a children's entertainer/balloonist going around the restaurant doing tricks and making hats for the kids.

We thought the restaurant was OK but then we just called in for a late meal and ate in the bar. We wouldn't make it a 'must do' for future trips though.

I wouldn't put JJ in the "must do " catagory, but saying that I'd guess we eat there pretty much every trip at least once. The food is good value and a reasonable quality and you can usually get a table without too much delay ( at Crossroads if there is a delay I usually use the time to dive into Goodings and pick up a few groceries). IMHO there are some fantastic places to eat in Orlando, but going top of the line ( even mid range for that matter) every night can work out very expensive. For cost I'd put JJ about the same as a trip to Pizza Hut, Denny's or Shoney's. I prefer the style (and food) of JJ to the diners and the menu is a bit more varied than Pizza Hut.

For me JJ fills in when I've had a couple of expensive meals, I'm in a hurry, don't want to spend too much and just want to fill a hole. It does that job perfectly IMHO.
