We hit the Jungle Cruise today since the Monday 20 minute wait was much better than the crowded & long Sunday waits of yesterday. We had a great tour guide: lots of cheesy jokes, great interaction with the crowd, etc. The only problem is, my 4 year-old took him literally...VERY LITERALLY. He actually tried to hide towards the end. :confused3 Apparently he really believed it when the guide warned that the head-hunters were looking for some more skulls to add to their collection!

I am thinking that he is perhaps the only person on earth who is afraid of the Jungle Cruise!

:lmao:

LOL!!! That's funny! Definitely don't take him to the Haunted Mansion...that is, unless he wants to make it an even 1000 Happy Haunts!!

I remember my first time on Jungle Cruise when I was a college student - I felt like such a dork for actually being worried about getting wet because of the tour guide hinting around about being sprayed. I actually ducked! :rotfl2:

Kids and the Jungle Cruise aren't always a good mix. My son still gets nervous, especially if we go on at night. And we've been riding it since he was 17 months old (and he's 7 years old now).

The arrows shooting over the head, the pirhanas in Disneyland (don't have 'em at WDW that I've noticed), the mysterious drumming, etc etc... (and the dark ruins at WDW, yikes), they all get to him.

but he likes the rest of the ride well enough that he always wants to go on it! Just forgets that it's not the *perfect* ride, that's all.
