Jungle Cruise - why was the water red?

No offense Alabamians, but I just moved here at the beginning of the year and I'm sick of all the roll tide /war eagle already. But I'm not much of a football fan anyway. I moved from Georgia, am originally from Florida and it wasn't any better there.

None taken.

None taken. But you might want to turn your TV off from now until about the end of January ;). Good time to catch up on Disney movies! (PS, Roll Tide!! Sorry--couldn't resist!!)

Great puns guys! (We rode it - just once - not long after refurb. No funny color then. Not much was funny, and the dead pan driver from the college program had some SERIOUS puns -if puns can be serious...) Not much point in this ride. One and done....

But, if you just do it once, you won't have a chance to experience it when it is a RIOT!

The Skippers are all different, and some have an amazing knack for making their spiel hilarious.
There are literally THOUSANDS of jokes that go "off script" for this ride.

If you happen to catch a ride with one of the many Skippers with the gift of "natural presentation" (and a great sense of timing and improvisational talent)
you can have one of the best times at Disney!

Sorry that you got a "by-the-book" Skipper.

We have had some unforgettable good times on this attraction.

Skipper (as the boat starts to pull into the dock at the end of a ride)...

Did you all have a good time on the Jungle Cruise today?
Show of hands.
Well, so did I!
I had fun.

So much fun that I think I'll go around again.

And, again.

And, again.

And, again.

For the rest of the day.

For the rest of my life.

(quietly) Stay in school, kids.

He had a lot of colorful puns in his 'script'. Would not call it a riot by any means... Now if the Frozen Singalong Improv Warehouse guys wanna EmCee it, let's talk!

Yes, the "regular script" has many bad puns.

But, I'm not talking about the "regular script."

Hey, if you want to ride something else, that's fine.
Just know that if you were bored on your one and only cruise, it wasn't the right cruise.

Hey I got the time. Dibs on who to ask for?

Also... I understand that some attractions are meant to be funny/entertaining (ie live show performers) but I am sort of left wondering by a 'ride/attraction' that has to rely on funny Skippers to make it interesting...might mean that the attraction itself has left its adventurous days behind and has to rely heavily on some Last Comic Standing alums to make it an attraction...?

HAHAHA I grew up in gator country so I made a decision in 4th grade to go for FSU.....and then I moved to ATL, and UGA is the rage.....so I now have reverted to rooting for UF during the Fla/Ga game....though when I moved to ATL, it was in the middle of Cam Newton's Auburn champ season.....and my roommates were Auburn grads....hence I became an "anybody but Auburn" fan :)

Then, why did you specifically make a favorable comment about the Frozen Singalong Improv Warehouse guys?

(Who, BTW, I think are fantastic, too.)

We noticed it in May also, not sure what was going on, but you were not seeing things! :)

Definitely this time we got a "by-the-book" Skipper, but at times before other ones have made up funny jokes

My favorite skipper line of all times was on Thanksgiving night last year during the "Jingle Cruise", instead of the normal "8th wonder of the world, the back side of water" at the water fall she said "...and look, it's the only thing not Frozen at Disney World!!" I laughed about that the whole night. Jungle Cruise is one of those that just never gets old.

But that's the *point* of the ride. It's not something that "relies" it; the ride IS it. Otherwise it's just staring at audioanimatronic animals. And that's not fun at all. It's one of the few places where CMs are allowed to truly have some fun, and that's awesome.

(John Lassiter was a skipper for awhile at Disneyland, which is pretty cool)

Because the attraction IS live actors. We would expect it to be based around their funny, and definitely welcome it. Jungle Cruise is NOT that kind of attraction in its expectations.... But it sounds like it should be....
