Is the Jungle Cruise ok to do at night? Several days we are doing MK just at night, and we could get a FP for JC, but wasn't sure how it is in the dark.

I personally prefer Jungle Cruise in the dark. Better ambiance:thumbsup2

We like it much better in the dark. The "captains" tend to be funnier. It's the only way we ride it now, lol! Enjoy

I like jungle at dark more, but the skippers aren't as good. Usually CPs so it's really hit and miss. Avoid it in January, May, and August when the newbies are starting.

We did JC night last time and it was a blast. The CM was hysterical and interacted with everyone.

I did the Jingle cruise a couple of nights ago just before Wishes - not the first time in the dark since I do like it at night. It's different and I would not say better but equally good in a different way. The Captain was one of the best I've had in the past few years. We did have a bit of a surprise when the boat in front had engine trouble and we met it in the cave/tunnel floating backwards into us. We had some reversing to do until they got a boat out to tow the broke down one back to the dock so we had some extra time out there in the dark. Haha

I've never thought of doing the JC in the dark...but now I'm definitely going to have to try it.

What's the difference with the Jingle cruise?

The jokes have a Christmas/holiday theme and they have some holiday decorations out on the ride scenes. It's a cute change for the season.

I know you all like it better at night but for us it was just okay at night and prefer the daytime ride much more :( . We feel you can see more in the day every one likes dif thing's . But we all love Disney still haha pirate:

If you have easily spooked kids don't take them in the dark.

Is it just that it can feel kind of creepy because it's dark? Or are there effects with lighting or something else that make it extra scary? Or long periods of creepy darkness? We have 2.5 MK days so was thinking we'd try for day and night, not if the 5 year-old will "get her freaks scared our of her" as she says

I've done regular Jungle Cruise at 1am in the morning before. Like someone else said, it's equally good in a different way. Our CM made sure that there were no kids on board at that late hour, and had us rolling with a lot of 'after hours' jokes. Plus the ride looks really good in the dark, the ambiance and animatronics seem much different when you can't see them ahead of you.
