Crowd wise, you "should" be OK. My wife and I went down from June 11th to the 15th this year. The crowds were there, but were moderate in size. However, others reported that the crowds "exploded" in size a couple of days after we got home. I assume this was due to the number of people that headed to WDW a couple of days after their schools got out for the summer.

We were in Orlando May 29-June14 this summer. We focused on WDW June 8-14, so that is about the same time you are planning on going.

The crowds were moderate. We got to the parks early (only like to do EMH at MK to get Fantasyland done during that time) and took advantage of Fast Pass and leaving in the afternoons for breaks and we handled it great.

The hardest thing for me, personally, was the heat. We decided to stay at Epcot one afternoon and not take a break; it was unbearable. Won't do that again without taking a breat at the resort to cool off. The heat was INTENSE!

We do late May/early June now all the time so we don't take our kids out of school any more and that time is fine.

Really make sure you keep the water going on your kiddos. My 5 year old DD got very ill at IOA one day. The heat was intense and we obviously did not push the fluids like we should have and she suffered from heat exhaustion. She became quite lethargic in the evening back at the villa and started vomiting. Needless to say, we were quite worried about her, but she got some gatorade slushes to stay down and she got better.

Go and have fun!

We have found this to be a great time to go.

Use FastPass, avoid the heat of the day, remember that for many children the number one attraction is the hotel pool, and avoid the MK on 6/5. If you can manage it, go to the parks when they open, and nap in the afternoon.

We have visited during the 1st week of June on several occasions and the crowds are usually fairly light. The wait for major attractions vary throughout the day, but we would usually see waiting times no longer than 30 minutes and many times in the 15 to 20 minute range. We have noticed resorts and parks become more crowded towards the end of our visits during this time period as more school sessions come to an end.

Rita Aero's Crowd and Weather Chart

We visited in May 26-June 4, 2002 and there were some very large crowds. I think this was an anomaly due to a resurgence in the travel industry after the lull caused by 9/11/01.

I'd expect the MK to be extremely crowded on Saturday, June 5th. (I don't know if you will be just arriving on the 5th or if you plan to visit parks on the 5th.)
