June vs September

First time post, so I'm hoping this is the right place for it but do tell me if not!

My husband and I are looking at coming to Orlando as part of a wider trip next year. Ideally we'd like to go at the very beginning of June, as then we'd be on holiday for our first wedding anniversary which would be lovely. However, we also have the option of going in September - would that be so much better in terms of crowds and prices that we'd be much better off postponing until then? We could also look at going end May, but not much earlier as one of the other destinations we're looking at isn't great weather-wise pre-June (or post-September).

If it makes a difference, we're only actually planning on spending about three days in WDW itself (we've only got five days in the area, and would like to visit Kennedy Space Center and Universal too) so we won't have too long to get fed up of battling crowds - but equally have limited time to get round as much as possible.

Weather-wise, I did the International College Programme a few years ago over July/August, so I know what we'd be getting ourselves into in terms of the mad heat and daily downpours in June! Is September weather much different (I assume a bit rainier, with it being hurricane season?)?

Thanks very much in advance!

Living here I can tell you that traditionally, Sept is much wetter than June. :-) End of Aug into Sept is the height of hurrican season and our rainy season (which doesn't mean you'll get a hurricane or that it could bring more rain in anyway. The past few years that part of FL hasn't had any inpact from hurricanes/tropical storms really). Afternoon storms are a given. Heat & humidity are a given.
After Labor Day, crowds do thin out though. (Epcot being the exception for F&W on the weekends). Personally, I prefer end of May myself for weather. You still could have low humidity days. Could be really hot though as usually, the afternoon storms don't really kick in until more the end of June.

Thanks very much

Thanks very much for the info, June looks like it may be a winner especially as we're hoping for a beach day :)
