June vs Oct

hello all! I am new here! I am excited to get a little more help planning my upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
My question today is, what is the difference in crowd levels between mid Oct and mid June?
My husband and I went on a last minute trip to Disney World this past Oct 18-22. I didn't even really have a touring plan, and no ADRs, but we did use the new Fastpass+ system with Magicbands and only scheduled the 3 Fastpasses. But during this time, we hardly waited in any lines and felt like we pretty much had the park to ourselves. We arrived at the parks around 9:15am and pretty much played the days by ear, but we were touring from that time until close everyday.
Now we are heading to The World June 19th-26th, on a much more planned trip. All of my ADRs with Dining Plan are scheduled and same with my Fastpass+ selections. But I am really worried that that extra crowd levels are going to make this trip feel so like we can't get as much out of it. Please tell me it will be the same! thanks~!

welcome! to the boards! those dates shouldn't be too crowded; i have been there at that time. it will be busy though. You should be okay. Remember rain is your friend as most people leave the parks. I live on the Texas gulf coast so i am accustom to the heat/humidity. if you aren't, the afternoons would be a great time to do inside activities. the pools will be crowded and while the water is cool and fun, the sun can be brutal! have a great time!!(for 20+ years)

Avoid June like the plague. It's hotter, it rains more, and it's much more crowded.

October tends to be very nice but avoid Epcot on weekends, during Food and Wine. The crowds are insane on weekends during Food and Wine.

Agree here 100%. We wouldn't take a free trip, if June was our only option. Going even further, avoid the end of May through the end of July, and the week before and after every holiday.

And July, and August, if you can. LOL But October and June aren't even comparable. October this last year seemed to have higher than normal crowds for some reason, but nothing like June.

We have been many times in June. It is definitely more crowded, hot, afternoon storms, etc. However, we have always found it very manageable and it fits our touring style well (rope drop to lunch, warm enough to swim on our afternoon break, comfortable and late evening hours). I also like knowing I only need to pack hot weather clothes.

Our absolute favorite time to go is October though. We love the fall decorations, MNSSHP and the Food & Wine Festival. The weather is usually nice although we have had pockets of very hot or fairly cool weather. Crowds are a bit more manageable than June, but not a huge difference. In June they are fairly consistent through the week where as in October there will be pockets of crowds through out the weeks. But overall, we love going this time of year.

June is hot and does rain some afternoons. I have bbeen several times in October. It is hot and rains some afternoons. We had the Holloween party canceled twice because of storms in October. You take a chance, be patient and have fun whenever you go.

in June around the time you are going. It is hot. It will be more crowded than that period in October. (Outside Epcot on weekends.) Park hours are a little longer in June. Rope drop is valuable at this time of year and the park hours give you time for a break in the afternoon. I feel much better after a break, shower and change of clothes. Arriving at a park, you will see the hot and tired people that have weathered the the full day.

We seem to accomplish what we want to accomplish in June despite the crowds.
