June/Sept? School holidays?

Hi everyone.
We have a trip planned for Sept 2022, and are then hoping for a bonus trip in 2023.
With that in mind, I have two questions.

1) - would you opt for June or Sept and why?
2) can anyone confirm the US school holiday start dates for summer 2023 - I’m reading conflicting stuff on various websites.

This is because US schools don’t have a uniform schedule across the country. Some will start summer vacation in early May while others won’t start until late June. That said, if questioning June vs Sept for school considerations - more students will be in school in September (after Labor Day 9/5/2022).

Early Sept. can still be hot and humid. And Sept. can be rainy and that is hurricane season.

Of the choices, I would do September. But I prefer the winter months.

My district finishes up the last week in May and starts back around August 22. We are from PA.

Our schools in Ontario finish Jun 29th and go back Sep 5th.

As @lanejudy said, you will find every sort of combination of dates between @SEAGULL59's dates and ours.

Personally between Jun and Sept I would choose Sep but be prepared for some rain each afternoon and hot...very, very hot and humid!

The most important date to know … check the local school holidays.!
I live in Celebration across street almost from WDW and have got stuck at the light one way only exit for their High School and watch cars streaming out of the hi school parking lot turning towards Disney World.
I swear they get out of school every Friday noon and go to Disney !
