For the past several years we have done DW the last week of July. This year we are considering changing our dates. Is there a specific week in June or July I should aim for? Is there one I should avoid?

I'm going in early June. I think the crowds are likely to be higher in July. (Everyone is out of school then.) Also you are likely to run into more Brazillian tour groups.

the time around July 4th. It's on a Monday this year so that would probably involve two weeks.

We've been in mid July and the latter parts of June. Both can be very hot and crowded. If you can wrangle an early June trip the crowds should be lower. Disney has even offered a discount through June 14th for this year.

I would suggest going the first week in June, the kids in FL are not out of school yet so you ant have the excessive crowds of the locals going and also the weather is not as hot as in July.

I suggest avoiding the time around the 4th of July holiday.

Early June is probably your best bet. It usually isn't too terribly hot yet and many schools in the Northeast are still in session at the beginning of June.

We enjoy going the 2nd-3rd week of July. Yes, it is hot. But, we do the parks in the am, pool or water park in the afternoon, & back to the parks at night. It breaks up the day & makes the heat more bearable.

I would not go the first weekend in June cause thats Gay pride weekend.Don"t know if its Thursday,Friday Sat sunday or Friday Sat Sunday.So I would go the second week in June.July will be must hotter than June and all the kids will be oit of school

Gay Pride in WDW is always the first Saturday in June. That is the day for The Magic Kingdom, however the whole weekend has become a celebration weekend. Many Pride Go-ers hit other parks on Friday and Sunday.

As a former attendee, 6 years in a row, I can tell you it is VERY VERY VERY crowded and can get VERY VERY noisy. I stopped going as it wasn't fun for me anymore. (I've been disgusted by the behaviour of the crowd at times.)

If you do plan on going during Gay Day's don't hit MK on Saturday unless it's in the evening. MK is extra crowded (sometimes they have to stop letting people in the park because it's reached capacity) in the morning until after the 3pm Parade. Once the parade is over, many of the Pride Go-ers go back to their hotels for the afternoon disco nap to get ready to party somewhere that night.

F.Y.I. Gay Pride in Disneyland is the first Saturday in April (Called Mini-Gay Days) because it's a smaller gathering and regular Gay Days is the first Saturday in October.

If you could go early June, I would go then. The schools around here are not out until mid June.

Another vote for June vs July. Many schools around the country don't get out until MID-June. In July you have fourth of July in the begnning of July and I'm not sure of the exact dates but there is a big dance competition at the end of July---I am attending with my neighbor. Not sure of the exact dates but I know we made reservations for July 20 - July 30 (we are adding a few extra days to tour the parks).

i suggest that you go about the 3rd week of july because in june alot of people are going for senior trips or for getting out of school and the first and 2nd week of july alot of people are still there for the 4th of july so best time is the 3rd week of july

Definitely June over July (IMO). July tends to be TOUR GROUP month. The parks are riddled with large groups of kids touring from another country. I'm not exaggerating when I say there are THOUSANDS of kids... Just my opinion

In the first half of June there is a lodging discount 25% to 40% off.

Come July you also have all of us lot coming over from the UK as that's when our school hols are. We're over on 10th-24th July this year and have done the same the last 2 years, we don't mind it, but we don't know any better! If you could avoid it I'd go earlier!
