Is there a difference between these 3 months in regards to weather and crowds. We're thinking about a summer trip this year. Our past 2 trips were in Oct. and Dec. Summer scares us!!
Any suggestions???

All three months are very, very, very hot and humid. The later you go in the summer, the crowds are lighter.

I just want to add that the beginning of June can be pretty good too. We went the first week of June 2000 and it was great. The crowds were manageable and the heat wasn't too bad. Of course, for us Texans, Florida heat isn't ever too bad. Just be aware that June 3-9 is the Gay Day period if that concerns you. I think we missed it the year we went, but I read on here that those are the dates this year. Also, if you go before most of the country gets out of school, the crowds will be better. Hope that helps!

I love going during the summer! The heat doesn't bother me or our family, 104-110 degrees is the usual summer temps here. We go early in the mornings, break in the afternoons back at our room, and we then come back at night, and eat in the park. July 4th crowds are very large. The fireworks at any of the parks are awsome! Go later in the summer if the heat bothers you. The heat will be "ON" no mater what time you go though during the summer.

We have been to WDW the first and second week of June. It was really humid and hot. We went the last week of August this year and it did not seem as humid as the times we went in June. It was definitely not as crowded.
Maybe it was just as hot and because we had such a hot summer at the beach in Delaware I was so used to it that it did not bother me. Anyway, all the rides are air conditioned so if you take a break in the afternoon it isn't all that bad during the summer months plus you have the extended hours to enjoy.

Don't do June! Way too rainy over all! Although it is almost guaranteed to rain for at least 20 min every afternoon, June is usually full of more long-lasting showers. Although I heard last June was rainier than most, we were disappointed to spend most of our 5 day trip planning around inside attractions or painfully waiting in the food court for the down pours to stop long enough to make it to a park.

I would suggest Aug. because crowds are lighter:earsgirl: And the tour groups are pretty much done by then. July is notorious for certain tour groups which can get numerous, loud, and rude.

Happy Tripping!

I have been to DW on the last week in August twice already. The kids are back in school in Fla. and other parts of the country as well. Thus, there is less chance of overwhelming crowds. In fact, it was downright pleasant at the hotel and parks. We always end our trip by Labor Day, which gets its last resurgence of the summer. For instance, we were able to walk on Test Track! Since I'm from New York City area, the high temps and humidity is something we deal with through the summer.
In my opinion, try late August. The hotel might even be willing to upgrade your room if you ask nicely for something that is special to you. We had water view rooms instead of the garden-type that we paid for. Good luck and have fun!
Happy New Year! :jester: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

The last time my family went to Disney, it was the third week of July. The time before that was the week RIGHT before July 4th, us leaving on the 3rd :-)confused: ...still haven't figured why we did that). The third week of July would not have been that bad at all, had it not been for numerous South American groups there that were an uncountable number of loud teens that felt the urge to sing at the top of their lungs at all hours of the day. I would go back late July any time if I knew no groups would be there. We found the days right before the Fourth of July to be horrible: extremely long lines due to people arriving before the 4th. This year we are going June 22-28....hopefully missing both the crowds of the Fourth and the groups of late July. Late August seems the ideal summer time to go, we are just unable to do it since school starts here in KY about the 2nd or 3rd week of August.

Wow!! Thanks for all the quick replies. We have it narrowed down to the middle of June or the 3rd week of August. My main concern is humidity!!! DD 7 has asthma :(

Having lived in Florida for 19 years, July and August are the hottest, most humid and wettest months. We were in Disney this past July/August and it was truly unbearable at times! I would vote for as early in June as possible. Yes, it could be quite hot and humid, but the atmosphere hasn't had as much time to "cook" as it has by August. Just my opinion.
