EE22, Sorry but What exactly is the world of color? I am guessing a fantasmic kinda show? I am so out of the loop with DL.
I would think the Depaul exit might be fullerton Ave off of lake shore drive? [if you take 55 north > to lake shore drive north > and then I think Depaul is in the Lincoln Park area? So that is fullerton. You stay in right lane, and exit toward the lake. then you go under LSD > and your in lincoln park. ** look for the signs, for lincoln park zoo** same exit & you then go by children's memorial hospital. Not sure where you go from there, but think that is the main exit into lincoln park area.

JMouse, congrat's on your planning! Glad you got your stuff started. Makes it so much more real.

TP2, hope your classes are ok. And you will be done soon. Hang in there. The girls must be so excited. The defense started today, but it was kinda boring all forensic evidence. Tomar, might be down there when the jury reaches a verdit. Could be exciting. Especially, since wdw tv is terrible. I wish they had pay movies, like other hotels.

Candi, Hope your new job is working out. Becareful on your bike. We have had some better riding weather here.

wdwdancerwannabe, hang in there, I still think it will open up or do a early walk up. Try using different configurations of number of people? IE: 3 & 2 instead of 5. or 3 even if your 2. Sometimes it is the table size. Good luck.

Summer is here. Got 2 mosquito bites in 5 minutes outside today.

So I did not buy new tix's, will use our vouchures. Garsh, with our disney stores closing > I hope they are still good.

Still watching for AP rates post aug 13th, So all help is welcome.

World of Color is a light/video/music show at CA Adventure.
search youtube for it...very cool. Cannot wait to see it. Yes, seems to be Fantasmic! like in nature, but it's done with water, lights, and highlights from movies. I believe it's around 30 minutes in length.

"The wonderful world of color....." It's in front of the Mickey wheel at DCA...I'm sure that's like calling it "the golf ball" at EPCOT, but everyone has seen the Mickey in pics

DH said the gps got them to DePaul the last time and it matched mapquest, but your info will help. Thank you. The city maps you sent back in 07 (cannot believe it's been that long since Wicked) and the ones my step mom sent will be very helpful. Yes...Lincoln Park...near the zoo, but several blocks east from what I remember. The map of the campus is microscopic! I'm sure 18-22 year olds think it's wonderful though!

the bugs here are horrible...so much rain! Absorbing Junior will do the trick. Kids are out throwing in the grassy field and it keeps them away. I guess back in the Great Flood of 08 it was discovered to really keep them away. Everyone had a back ache and then the bugs kept away too using the stuff.

We should ship our rain south...they are in a drought.

Don't miss your trip watching the case ladies!
Still have not watched the case...I've given up on the news...don't watch it. Yesterday I ended up watching the end of Superman...I never knew he had a child I watched this really distrubing movie on Lifetime last Sat and was then really taken back when I realized it was REAL!! Your trial will probably be made into a TV movie too.

Gonna try to pack a bit more. I sort of threw in the towel when it dawned on me that we had to stay over night in Chi Town and needed all of our bathroom supplies

I was smart enough though to realize we really cannot take 2 bags per person with SW as they won't all fit in our car. Thank goodness I had that smart attack BEFORE we put them in the trunk!!

Hey Everyone:

MKY: If that girl gets off on some technicality I will be VERY ANGRY. I have no idea how any mother could do something so terrible to her child. That is why I keep watching, because it is almost too unbelievable. And even if she did not do it (which I do not believe) she knew that kid was not alive and was having a party. Something is wrong with her.

School goes until July 20, so I am kindof wishing the summer away. This class is half over already so I guess we are getting there. I love getting 3 credits in 3 weeks but doing it in the summer is torture. I just have to keep my eyes on the prize!!! Maybe DVC when I finally get a job or at least a deluxe stay. Believe it or not that is what keeps me going! The dream of a nicer Disney vacation.

EE22: The best part of going in the summer is that the assignments are greatly reduced. Instead of a week between classes there is only the night so I guess they can't expect too much.

Well, took our luggage up from the basement yesterday !!....I said....."Hi disney Luggage" !! ....made me happy to see all my Mickey head Luggage tags hanging on all of them !!

TP2- Im with you on the C-A trial.....I will be very upset if she gets off, That Poor Beautiful Little Girl...Id have taken her myself if she didn`t want her

I was thinking the same thing about our package, Im hoping I get it before we leave, as this is the one for the second ressie....I called CRO and they said if it doesn`t come, they can give it to you at check in...I hope we get it in the mail though !!

TP2, WTG! 3 credits! I give you alot of credit. I would never of made it through school as an adult. I remembered married girls with kids in nsg. school and thinking "how are they doing this". I could barely do it.

EE22, but do you like to teach summer school? Congrat's on the ? 20's!

OK, so what is the "packet" i am guessing disney paperwork? I haven't ever got a packet except with the disneycruise. I didn't realize you guys all buy the packages.

no....mky...I've never taught summer school. By the time I was "free" in order to teach it...they did away with it...ineffective and too expensive especially at the secondary level. Can't gain an entire year in 6 weeks. I worked on my master's and right after that I had DS...next summer gone. One summer "off" inbetween the two kiddos (my pay would have never paid for daycare either), but DH was in Europe almost the entire summer for work it seemed and then DD the next summer and I think even then...we didn't have it at the secondary level at that point. It's been gone a long time for the HS.

However, now that my kids are out of our system, I'd like year round school. I really don't like packing my life in a box for the summer. I'd like to vacation at other times of the year too

I am getting some major packing done tonight
I gave up as my head has been hurting too much...nearly since summer started. I have felt better yesterday and today.

Hot and Humid here.

We are getting ready for DePaul too...that's first.
I think we sort of know where we are going!!

I will have to go back and read all the posts since I was last on.

I taught at the college again this weekend so it is bed time for me...I am exhaused...but I will try to get on again later this week.

Hello Ladies !!!

I finally recieved our Package from Disney today !! YIPEEEEEE !!
MKY- Let me explain the package.....Usually Mr. Tomar and I do most of our trip with our DVC Points, and just some days with paying Cash from CRO...those days, we always wait until the AP Room only rates come out.
Every year we do that, with our AP`s we usually get the TIW card for the 20 % off dining.
This year, we wanted to try the DXDP and DDP for the first time, since most of the summer the "up" Charges (Special seasonal pricing) was just toooo over the top for even the buffets...
NOW, to add the Dining Plan , CRO said we must convert our AP room discounted ressie to a package called "Annual Pass Dining Package"....and that comes with nice little perks like vouchers for Planet Hollywood, a free miniature Golf game, points to the BW arcade, Luggage tags, a discount for the marina boats and a few other things ....that`s what the package is ....I was very excited to finally get it today !!
I will let you guys know how the dining plan went , when we get back !!

I just want you Ladies to know that after reading some of the stategies for touring DL and DCA...I am a mild mannered NON commando park tourist.

WOW...Hail to the True Park Commandos

I better ready my MBTs, put them on high rolling, and take mega vitamins. Our day DD and I spent from 7:10 am till 11:00 pm at the MK and my trip report was "Death by Magic Kingdom" doesn't even come close to what some of the people do! I was tired reading it and I had only made it till noon!!

I think we'll just do what we can and go back later onmeaning a different trip. There is no way I could keep up that pace like we had at US/IOA for more than one to two days. No way!
