Hi everyone!

TP2, bug wants to go to to hershey park too. But it is kinda far from here. I think they will have a great time. I saw it on samantha's travel stuff on the travel channel. :thumbsup2

EE22, Wow, all done! :wizard: How wonderful for DS! Glad they both did so well in track! You will be relaxing soon with nothing to do. I know, it was 40 last week and suppose to be 90 tommorrow??

Candi, so glad to hear from you. I was starting to get concerned. Poor kitty. Hope he is feeling better. Are the girls out of school yet?

Tomar, Hope you have a great visit. :littleangel:pixiedust:princess: Hoping for good weather for your family.

Went shopping today. It was wonderful. EE22, we went to woodfield mall. ;) Got a couple of things for wdw. Should be all set for summer now.

Did anyone see that they are planning to finish the area behind pop century? With: LION KING [ok its just 1 of the sections] Bug, says "yes, I get to stay value once!" Well, I am not saying yes yet but:idea: it is in the running. ;)

Have a great weekend everyone, mky:cutie:

MKY: Yes, I saw that too! I am so excited because while ASMu was fine, it was definately missing something. I would love something in between the values and moderates. I think an upgraded food court (not even a sit down restaurant) and we like something for the adults at night. We loved POR because they had the piano player. It would be nice if they added some of the moderate benefits to the new property. It won't be ready for next summer though, so it will have to wait until the following year.

EE22: I think you are like me. Other parks are fine once there but there is nothing as fun and exciting as planning a trip to WDW!

Tomar: Hope you are having the time of your life. I am sure you are so busy, but good busy.:cloud9:

Candi: Hope the kitty is feeling better.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.:goodvibes

party:party:WHOOO HOOO !!!! WE Are Down To 42 More Days !!! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!party:party:

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone !!!!:grouphug:

Hiya everyone, :yay:

Happy Memorial Day!

Tomar I hear ya! :cool1: It's good to be in the 40's :woohoo::dance3::banana: And thanks for the super cute pic's.:littleangel:princess:

Worked all weekend but am off monday! Yeah!!! :wizard: Hope everyone is having a great summer kick off.

mky:cutie:

We hit the 30 day mark:banana:I didn't think I'd live through this spring, but here we are.

DS graduated last Sunday. What a busy weekend that was. Before that was state the weekend before. I'm not sure how I worked those two week, but I survived...tore down my room and got out on time. It seemed like around here I was constantly doing wash and putting away track stuff for company Memorial Day weekend.

My room at school was a HOT BOX with no air and 80-90's...glad that is done for now.

Grad parties are OUT OF CONTROL and I just gave up after missing them due to track and DS graduating and having company here Memorial Day weekend.

DD had her Wisdom teeth out today. Not fun, but at least it's over with.

DS goes to orientation for college before our trip:scared1:not really ready for that yet:sad2:

I am looking forward to putting my plans to a spreadsheet!!

EE22, :wave2:pixiedust::wave2: Congrat's on the 30 days! WooHoo! Summer is here! Have a great summer "off". And keep hydrated, with all those "son going to college" tears. ;) Hang in there, He will be fine and have a great time. :wizard:

Better get busy on that spread sheet.

mky:cutie:

Hiya everyone,

Hope your all having a great weekend. Bad storms here yesterday, but today its sunny and 70's. Just beautiful.

TP2, I could not open your pictures? Happy birthday to your dd!
When are you going on Vac. this summer? Or; did you vote to get the pool? Are all the girls out of school now?

We are all getting close! 30's

Hi Everyone !!:goodvibes
well....all our luggage is up from the basement !! WHOO HOO !:woohoo::yay::woohoo:
:tinker::mickeyjum34 more days for the tomars !!!! Can`t wait !!:tinker::mickeyjum

TP2- Gorgeous Pictures of DD`s B-day !!! Thank you for sharing !!!
Happy Birthday to the Princess !!:cake::bday:

EE22- Congrats to DS on his GRADUATION !!!!!.....party:

MKY- we are all in the 30 day mark now !!....Yipee !!:yay::yay:
Sorry to hear that you had storms this weekend...glad it was sunny today !!

Happy packing everyone !!!!!! :laundy::flower3:

Dug out our luggage. :cool1:

I know I will move some of the stuff from our Cedar Point trip to our WDW bags so I will hit it hard once we get home from Cedar Point. DH is easy...all of his Disney shirts were in the luggage.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. DD is feeling better since she had her wisdom teeth out. Both DD and DS go to the doc today...get that over with.

I have to hit Barnes and Nobel for a DL book before the car ride. 18 hours in the car will be some great DL planning for 2011! I think a lot of it will be much, much later like dining, etc and it will be in the middle of track season so I need to figure out stuff this summer. Big learning curve that's for sure!

Hiya everyone, :wave2:

Congrat's to everyone about the luggage! :cool1: We haven't moved that much yet. But, I did keep stuff in certain areas to take, so packing should not be as bad.

EE22, Good luck on planning DL. It is a whole different animal. popcorn:: We did a day trip from las vegas, last time we where there. It was maybe 95? Before all the "new" stuff. We didn't plan much last minute idea > and wound up on 2 rides the whole day. It was packed. But they had had bad weather for weeks and it was beauitful that day > so all the locals where there. Are you going to try and stay onsite DL? Or use your "points" for one of the resorts? Grand Californian looks beauitful, but I have always wanted to stay at the DL hotel. Kinda like, when people always wanted to stay at the CR tower, for nostalgia. Not sure which I would choose. What a wonderful trip. Have a great time planning. Don't forget to wave, when your on I80 over here, on your way to cedar point. :wave2: Have a great trip! Feel so sorry for DD with the surgery. Ugh, I remember mine.

Tomar, hang in there tommorrow is 33 days for you. You will be in the 20's by the weekend. And you are on my "board" ;) for our trip!

Have a great week! mky:cutie:

I dug out my DL books...will read them in the car to Cedar Point. 18 hours should do it...I printed a bunch off the internet too. I will think happy thoughts when we drive through your area.

I am leaning towards DL Hotel, but will try to book DVC, but if I don't get it...that's okay too. They have great deals this summer...5 for 3 and 40% off. I hope they continue next year and with the way things are going...they probably will. I have been looking at flights and we will probably fly SW out of Chicago for many reasons...flight times and length are biggies. I will stay in one of the hotels you gave us so will ask for that info later on. Also, DS's life is up in the air and I could at least get a credit. The airlines here are non-refundable. TP2 told me all about transferring $$ to another person for flights.

I wish I was on your board :sad2:

DD is doing better. I was really sick after mine were out...now I am pretty sure I had a bad, bad reaction to the drugs. I threw up for 3 days afterwards...it was horrible. I haven't told her that yet though.

Summer will be over in a blink of an eye...been looking for stuff for DS for school. We go on the 24th and will find out about his roommate, etc and then we will have to buy a fridge, micro, etc for his room. :eek:I started a bag already. Bought sheets and towels last Dec when things were dirt cheap around Christmas.:santa:

Hi guys !!!
Well, we are finally at the 30 day mark...WHOO WHOO !!:woohoo::yay::woohoo:
Trying to get myself in an organized Packing mode:upsidedow....Ziplocs-Check,:flower3: Health meds and cosmetics-Check,:flower3: filling the box that is going to the Boardwalk-Check:flower3:
Every year, I adore doing all this:cloud9:...its the after-trip stuff I can`t stand:laundy::headache:
This year is so very special for us, as the little Prince and Princess will be at WDW for the first time !!!.......Im soooo excited, I know its going to bring a tear to my eyes when the Perfectly Princess walks down main street for the first time and sees Cindy`s Castle....:cloud9::cloud9: ..OOOOOO I have goose bumps already !!

EE22- I hope you guys have a fun time at Cedar Point !!! Enjoy !!!:cool1:

MKY- are you and Bug starting to pack yet ? !!

TP2- You guys are going to the outer banks in 30 days as well !!! we are all in the same Packing mode I guess !!!

Happy zip-locs everyone !!!!! :grouphug: :goodvibes

Wow it has been a long time since I have been notified of an update.

MKY: It was a big file. I will take some favorates and send them over. No pool, at least for now. Maybe after I get back to work full time. We shall see.

So we have this trip planned to Outer Banks and have no one to watch the dog.:scared1: We were going to try and hit Hershey on the way down but I have no idea what we are going to do now. I looked into a kennel but DH feels bad leaving him in one. He would rather bring him with us. We have one more friend to ask but it would be leaving the dog home and someone to care for him in our house. He will be so lonely. This is exactly why I did not want a dog in the first place.

No luggage yet for us ladies. I have to figure out this whole dog thing before I can even get excited about vacation.:headache:

I am so glad everyone else has their trips planned and ready to go.

EE22: I had no idea you have an 18 hour drive.:scared1::scared1::scared1: That is how far Disney is from NY and we always fly. You are only staying 2 days on top of that??? You are better than we are, that is for sure.:rotfl: If we hit Florida, it would have been a month long adventure.:rotfl2: 3 days to drive in either direction, lots of stopping to see stuff and take breaks, and then no less than 2weeks in Disney. Plus I would have to see some beach down there and Universal, and Seaworld, and I could just keep going!!!!

Hiya everyone,

Anyone [hockey] BLACKHAWKS FANS? They had [reported] 3 million people show up for the blackhawks parade / party in chicago. Unbelievable. It was on every tv station here. [for hours]. :woohoo:

TP2, We looked into a dog resort here, but vader's grandma and grandpa nixed the idea. Said "no one is taking their dog anywhere .... " But, it was on a farm like setting, and had special dog things. Each got a "resort room" .... Did not look bad at all. Just an idea? Or; You could research, resorts or hotels that allow dogs. Unless your plans are already set? Ok, I must be the only one not sure of where the outer banks are? I was guessing one of the Carolina's??

Tomar, no parking yet. But, bug got friday off [day we fly] so we changed our plane by about 16 hours. Almost like getting a whole extra day. On our flight on SW it was only 35.00 to change it. The car however went up 70.00 But certainly worth it. :wizard:

EE22, made it to ohio! Have fun! Becareful on those coasters.

Candi, hope your doing ok. Girls should be off for summer now too.

Have a great weekend everyone. Tonight, I am on call at 3am and work 3am > 3pm. Ugh. I am tired just thinking about it. Dread settting clock at 2am to get up. But, not if we where flying to WDW..... ;)

mky:cutie: 34 days to gooooooooooooooo!!

I've been lurking around the DisBoards for a while now trying to get all the info I can to help me plan my WDW trip. Basically I'm addicted to not only planning my trip but to this forum. After a couple of months of lurking I'm starting to feel like someone who's eating all the food at a potluck but I didn't bring a dish, so I'm going to take the plunge and begin my first WDW ptr.

History:

This trip came about when one day in April 2010 (yes two months ago) my DH said, "Where going to Disney in June 2010 (Yes this year). Since my husband does this with all of our trips because he thinks I'm his personal assistant. I said," This is going to be an expensive trip, and he just looked at me as usual and forgot about it. The only question he asks is, "When are we leaving."

I've been to Disneyland several times as a kid and WDW twice when I was sixteen: once w/ my aunt and no one else and with the band in highschool and I think Goofy goosed me, that was a little strange. But I digress. The kids and DH have never been. So this will be our first WDW trip together.

Celebrating:
Our 10th Wedding anniversery. DS's 10th B-Day and DD's 6th B-Day, DN's B-Day. all the kids B-Day is in June

The Cast:
DH, who still won't believe how much this trip is going to be until we get back

Me (Angela), Working mom who does it all

DS (Jamal 10) funny, smart kid who's too much like his mom

DN (Nephew, Harold,11) all around cool kid

DD (Norah 6) Princess of the family, fashionista and all around girly girl and too much like her father.

Dates:
Leaving on June 22 plan to be there in the morning of June 23 to June 28 2010

Staying:
Offsite I hadn't begun to visit this sight yet. I didn't know, I really didn't know . Since reading the DIS and everybody's ptrs I really wish I could stay onsite but do to limited planning and funds we are staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort not far away in a 2BR Villa. If we get a refurbished room it should be OK. I got great rates w/ the help of a friend.

TKTS:

I got 4 Day prime tkts at a great price on the Dis Youth programs (open enrollment) bassically half price. Love the special programs at Disney .

I've read everything I can about WDW and trip planning. I've bought or read in the store any guide books I could get my hands on, but the best info I've gotton so far is FROM YOU GUYS ON THE BOARDS. So any suggestions, info or just kinds words you have will be appreciated.

Touring plans:

Day one: Arrival

Hit TL. The kids love Water parks

check into the hotel around 3

Hit DTD: DD has a 6:30 BBB apt

Suggestions Needed Now: Where should we eat?

Day 2: Due to ADR this Day is set in Stone

Epcot Day: Using the touring plans from UG

1:35 ADR With the Princesses in Norway

Day 3:

AK

DTD

8:30 ADR at Boma for Dinner

Day 4: Sat

Mk

I'm worried about this because it's Sat, Should I Change this w/ Friday or Sun.

Day 5:

HK

Maybe DQ

I'm not much of a planner, at least not on paper, so I hope this helps me out. I like structure but not a lot of it so there are not a lot of ADR's on this trip. Any all suggestions are welcome especially on where to eat, in and out of the world. Disers sprinkle a little magic on me , come on, help guide me around the World. This is really not a PTR but a request to get some suggestions.

Hey Everyone!!! Down to Months and DAYS on my ticker!!! No more Month, Weeks and Days :cool1:

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

Wow, I can't believe how much I have been missing! Life if busy as it is with all of you. I have been trying to stay off the computer in the evenings as I have been working long hours. So once I am home, I am trying to focus on the family and house. :goodvibes

I am trying to get ready to head to Michigan next week for work. I have to leave about dinner on Sunday since it is a 4.5 hour drive and I don't want to get in too late.

So, I have promised the kids that we will go to Universal Studios next summer if we stay at Disney. I think I am going to book into the Treehouse Villas and see if some of the family want to come with us. It is a lot of points, but it would be fun.:cool1:

We are going to Denver and then Vail in July so no Disney for us this summer.

Hiya Candi,

It will be nice for you to visit your friends in colorado again. Very pretty there in the summer. :thumbsup2 I would think your girls would like universal with all there rides. Pretty wild. Be sure of plan to stay there for that stent of your trip > FOTL is a necessary!;)

Daisy do it all: :welcome: to our little thread. :wizard:
I would recommend planet hollywood at DTD or T-Rex. Both are very festive. Food is ok, not too terribly expensive. Check out the thread's for dining on deb's site: www.allearsnet.com That is defianetly the best site for menu's / and prices. I kinda like to stay with themed / special dining when at wdw > somewhere you don't go every week, kinda thing. Even thou there are alot of planet hollywood's the dtd one is wild.
As for MK on sat. I would keep it. Just be SURE to get there 1st thing in the morning!!!! This will be cruical. Be there at opening. It is very special and cute. >> but, because you will have the least amount of people in the park for the whole day. Its cooler, and less crowded for at least a few hours.
I am guessing you will have a car?? Figure out your route from vistana early. So not to waste precious park times. It really is close to wdw and not a bad commute. Just figure in extra time for parking and gate fees.
Have a great time! We are all very experienced planners on this thread & some of the best people you could want to meet too. :wizard: Just ask away! and stop lurking!
Ocalla & Warrfamily5, :woohoo::cheer2::yay: for your trips & happy planning.
