June, July, August PLANNING thread

Well we had 4 nites at CR. then B, L, D, sit down each day, tix to h2o park, discovery island, boats, bikes, tennis, gaming, Anything you could think of. They where cards. Just said present this card for boating,,,, and gave a card at meals. We each [4] of us got them. [we went in april].
Basically, if we used them all it might of been?

As it turned out we used what we did, and kept them. Of course I had a scheduled wdw vac in 2 months. Soooooooooooooo, there was NO dates on the cards. So we kept them and used the ones we wanted to in July then. I think we used most of them except tennis. Only time we ever went to discovery island. 10 minutes after getting there a sudden rain storm and it was pouring. We where in the middle of the island and soaked. By time we got back to Cr it was sunny again and we where drenched. I don't think I will ever forget it. I liked the turtles, but it was most just full of bird poop. Not much out there.

Hi Ladies...I am not doing the mom's panel...I never get Disney emails. It's just nutso! I don't even get them from DVC. I only knew about the tour this summer because Tomar sent me the link.

My district would never give me the days anyway. I hope you get picked TP2!!

The days just melt into one another these days. I'm not sure what we're going to do when track season is here. It's crazy busy right now. School is just wild too. The days fly by, but wow...am I tired at the end.

I think for sure we won't go to Disney in 2010 which makes me so sad

Hi Everyone
Sorry I`ve been MIA..... The Perfectly Princess has been keeping us busy for the last 10 days ....but .....alas..... the kids left late in the afternoon yesterday
We had a wonderful time together ...and the weather here in New Jersey was very co-operative the last week or so...we took her to the beach, and to the kiddie amusement park, visiting family and friends that haven`t seen her in a while, and out to dinner (she was a perfect little ladie in the restaurant btw ) .....OOOOO, and she woke gramma up at 6:30am every morning to ...PLAY! .....the last 2 days it was raining, but when your having fun , (like at the world ) you don`t think too much of the rain I guess ...unless its lightning and thunder that is .....
Our DDIL will be going to the doc on the 17th to find out if there will be another Princess added to the family ....or this time a ....Prince , either way we are very happy !!
YIKES ..... I missed alot of goings on around here .....

Hiya everyone! Hope you guys all had a great weekend.

Tomar, Wonderful pictures! Wow, that beach is new jersey???? I might have to go there for a vacation. It was beautiful! Looked like myrtle beach. The is sooooooooooo grown up! WoW. Time flys. She is beautiful! Very nice looking family, you created. But, she looks like grandpa's little , DH is giving you a run for your money. And looks like he is winning. Go Tony! Looks like a wonderful extra staycation. With your company! Must be wonderful to live on the coast. Lake michigan is large, but the waves are pretty lame. Of course, there is no salt water so that is a plus. We don't go very often. It is WAY cold even in august.

EE22, Hope your rested up for school this week. That is sad about not going all year. But, I know you. If something opens up > you might get your way. Never say never. Maybe you and DH can do a quick get away?

TP2, The thing about that contest: I knew I was going to win. I know, sounds crazy. But, when I read the mcdonald's flier. And the rules. I decided to invest $100.00 on supplies and stamps. Got all my entries written out & boy, did I get teased for that. "you are wasting your time & money" "no way will you win". But, I had a gut feeling to do it. So > I mailed a handful the first day. and a few each day [ran for 1 month] and a handful on the last 2 days. Months went by: I kinda forgot about it. Not sure the date they where announcing. So I just let it go. The federal express guy rang bell with envelope & the paper work saying "we won" and all the contact info. I have never entered anything else like that. I have never really had a feeling like that before or since. It was very exciting. You never know. Go with your gut.

We also had great weather this weekend. This was my LAST full weekend off before our trip. I work the next 3. Also I have 8 hrs of extra call coming up this week. We get mandatory call [over time hours] from fall to spring. To cover our unit. 4 hrs tommorrow nite & and next sunday. Well maybe I will have a big check before we leave. I see my counter is at 25 days!! Got paperwork, and credit union stuff done this weekend. Kinda pack / planned in my head too.

mky...good luck with working, but it will make the time go by faster. I laughed at Lake Michigan...VERY COLD and Lake Superior is even colderDH and I went to school in the UP of Michigan...BURR and way, way too much SNOW!! I'm not sure how we survived up there!

Tomar...glad you had a good time. Great pics!

TP2: glad you entered...I hope you win and can go again!! That would be GREAT!

Things are getting back to nornal around the Tomar household now that the Princess is on her way back home....I miss her already though

Yes, we live very near the Ocean....and Mr. Tomar loves going to the Beach alot in the summer .....of course the flip side is.....we get very COLD winters here also ...ICK !
Sorry you have to work for the 3 weekends....but what a GREAT reward at the end !!!!

EE22- How is the Bestest Teacher in the "Field of Dreams " ?
I`m with MKY with hoping you get a trip in for the coming year also !!

TP2- I hope you get picked for the Mom`s Panel !!! You`d be GREAT !!! ....And.....you`d be assured another couple of trips at least with DH and your beautiful Princesses !! YAHOO !!.....I saw the email after the Princess left, and took a shot too again (although I said I wouldn`t)....Who Knows....Uncle Walt may want to tell folks what it`s like seeing His world through a Gramma`s point of view.....if it was Mr. Tomar applying....he`d only be an expert on the........... Pools !!!!

We are down to 3 weeks! Getting down to the wire and have so much to do. It was 91 at wdw today.

Tomar, I've seen pictures of your north-eastern's. Those look like some wicked storms. But your beaches are beauitful.

EE22, Hope your feeling better soon. Are things getting better? It cooled off here today. Hang in there.

Candi, bug and I can't book for march yet, she still hasn't gotten cleared for vacation. Adr's and southwest will be opening in a few weeks. We are watching closely. Are you planning much yet? I forgot to answer you > no I did not rejoin tgm. I thought about it & got the "code" for my renewel but didn't do it. It saved only 2.00 off the full price. I have still been reading about alot of unhappy people with it.

Work has been crazy and I have not been in a very good mood so have not been very chatty.

MKY - I have only booked the flights, rooms and the car for the one day to hit Kennedy Space Center.

I don't even know which parks we are going to go to on what days.

Hi Everyone! I guess everyone has been pretty busy. I know my schedule this school year has been insane. Just helps to make the time fly by I guess.

MKY: Your trip is right around the corner. How exciting. DD5 is talking about our next trip all the time. It is very funny. She regrets not going on some rides and now she has the courage to go on. Maybe we can squeeze her in your suitcase MKY!

EE22: I cannot imagine how busy you are. I feel like my head is just spinning and we are way younger. Just so much stuff at the same time.

Candi: At least work is busy. Nice to have a trip to look forward to.

Tomar: It was so nice to see all the pictures. Amazing how much time has passed since we all met. We see it with your princess.

TP2- It`s so funny you mentiioned how long we all know each other from the Perfectly Princess`s age....Yep....and before that even....she was born in June of `06....but we all met on the code board earlier in the winter .....I think EE22 was waiting for the Feb. codes to come out that year !
BTW.......NEWS FLASH !!!!!
The kids went to have a sono-gram taken of the new baby, ..............and.......
ITS A ....................BOY !
WE are all very excited .......Especially.......Daddy and Grampa...."A Princess ...and now ....a ....Prince !!

EE22- This is a big year for you with DS`s graduation.....My one tip for you is.....if it`s possible.....take it slow and don`t stress.......Mr. Tomar and I went through weddings and baby births ....its daunting....but very exciting all at the same time !!!.....I know being the bestest Teacher in the "Field of Dreams"...adds to the stress of this year also......but....Hang in there ...the Reward will be watching DS collect his diploma and move on to College !!

Been so busy here. Work is crazy one day and slow the next. Trying to get some vacation stuff done tonight. paper work etc.. . in order. Want to check wdw schedules tonight for any changes. Working on filling out my little notebook for daily adr's and times. I am off again on friday and if time after housework, want to iron [yes, i said iron] some short's and get a few items ready. Like to look a little more polished there than here.

We are under 3 weeks now. yes!

MKY - my current job is in Canada and located just 8 minutes from home. The new job would also be in canada but more like 25 minutes from home.

I won't be able to come home for lunch anymore but I think anything outside of the auto industry will be less stress. Everyone says once you get out...you never go back. Keep sending the pixie dust for me.

11 days! But I have one question. What is this thing you say you have to do...ironing....

I am trying to clear out a room in the basement. It has sort of become the laundry room over flow....and the cup does overflowith...

They are coming tomorrow to dup up the front of the house and install a new water line and sewer. They have to take out all the old cast iron inside the house up to the first clean out and the water meter. They will bust up about 4 feet of my floor in the basement and install a back water valve so no water can come back into the house. They are going to make a huge mess I am sure.

But at least that part of the work will be done, so long as we don't get thunderstorms tomorrow.

I planned a trip in July of 2007 and was on this thread a lot! It looks like the same group of people on here too!! Well, here I am again, planning another trip in June 2010! Actual planning question: For MNSSHP > Should we wear costumes? On our first trip in oct. we went very elaborate, and almost 1 suitcase of stuff was brought down for our parties. Then last time: we went very simple, wearing scrubs and a convict scub outfit. Not sure if we want to do anything this time. When we have been with just a halloween T shirt or no costume, people have made comments, but seems like when we wore something, felt like we where one of the few? I keep thinking if we don't bring something then we will regret it. Help, please!

Actually sad news in that area. A couple months after we got back from Disney and were in the middle of working on that family. I caught my ex cheating on me.. and then found out it wasn't the first time. He had done it before our trip as well. But I will save the long story cause it's been nearly 2 years and I am very very happy now. But he was kinda bad to me most of our marriage. I thought things were turning around at the time of our trip. But I guess not. He was pretty abusive verbally and emotionally early in our marriage. Anyway, I ended up filing for divorce. So, it's been 2 years since then. Last February I met this awesome guy with two little boys.. who had been through a very similar situation with his ex... only his is ten times worse. We've been together 8 months now.. and although he hasn't officially asked me with the ring, we've already decided on the date and that we want to go to Disney for our honeymoon! Between you and me... I know he bought the ring already.... so it's only a matter of time We did things a little backwards though I know. We like to say we're "unofficially engaged" lol He just wants to surprise me with the ring.

I'm really excited about planning this trip!! I have thought of you guys many times too btw!!

Hi Mky - Last time we went we saw everything from just normal park attire, to halloween t-shirt (our choice), to elaborate costumes. So whatever makes your happiest would be my choice because your options are very open
