Now both of you guys have to get busy & sorry you didn't bump into each other. That is too bad. Well there is always next year.

We are at 12 days Wow, this has gone by soooooooooooooooooooooooo fast. We will be back before we know it.

Hi everyone!

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I was on here. I was cleaning out my email and say an old notification and realized how long it has been.

I am glad everyone is having a good summer and that the trips were fun. MKY is going soon and I hope you have a good time!

Things have been very busy but fun here this summer. Did I tell you about DD16's boyfriend? Nice young man. Older than her by a bit so they spend a lot of time at our house! That way I can keep an eye on them.

No Disney trip this summer for us as it seemed to hard to plan around the wedding activities. The batchelorette party is next weekend. We are going to have a girls afternoon with the girls in the wedding party then BBQ for the family and later the younger crowd will head out to the bars for the night. They had to mix it up a bit because DD is in the wedding party but will not be heading out to the bars with them. I think they will enjoy the time together.

Better run and do some laundry. Monday comes so quickly.

MKY: So excited for you. 12 more days and you will be ONSITE!!!

So BC had some rowdy crowds, not a place I felt comfortable letting my kids roam around and have freedom. The busses were spotty at best and driving around was stressful because I kept getting lost. The signs for BC are not good at all. I guess Disney does not really want their signs on their property (who can blame them) and the entrance to the resort is really set back off the road so unless you are sure you know where you are it is easy to miss until you are already right in front or passing it. I never realized before how much the resort impacts the trip, but now I know. If we were not in DW the resort would have been fine but for a DW trip I would rather stay at a value resort than stay offsite.

Also, never hit Universal. DD11 is really still recovering from a concussion and as soon as she went on Space Mountain she got a headache. After that I had to keep coming up with excuses to avoid that area of the park otherwise she would want to go on. Now we have money invested in Universal tickets, gonna see if Costco will let us return them but not sure how that will work out.

Not used to vacationing so early in the summer. Now we still have a full month left and nothing to do or look forward to.

Hope everyone enjoys their summer. Still a long month to go!

But, working soooooooooooooooo much this week. I pack my 2 weeks of work schedule into 1 and a 1/4 wks. So these 12 hr shifts are killing me.
On top of it, I have `12 hrs of call time thrown in too. And my 1st 8hrs call is wed at 11pm till 7am and I already have to work.

So super busy. But, so worth it. Just did my online check in.

Tp2, sorry about BC. Will take that under advisement.

its been such a hectic couple of months...


my aunt has had lung cancer for 4 years.. and June it spread to her brain, so basically she had less than a month to live.. mom went up there with my cousin, i couldnt get out of work to go see her before she died(almost a week up there)... Almost a month to the day(now in July) she died.. luckily i was able to get those days off, she i went back up with mom when this happen, we were up there for a week, stayed at my uncle's house.. only silver lining for that was seeing a bunch of family i havent seen sinc i was like 10....
we are home for a week, and mom and the step family all go to Wisconsin for the step dads daughter get married... i wouldnt go even if i could get the days off work.. so i was by myself for almost 2 weeks.. they have been back for only a week.. im off this week thank gawd. so can rest and relax for once...

on a lighter note.. im closing in on my Universal trip. about a month and a half.. me and Dee cant wait.. soooo need to get away from things.

Thank you. The same thing happened to my moms godmother once it spreads to the brain a month is all that's left at the most. So I knew what to expect when we were told it spread to the brain

thanx... thats sweet of u to worry. just been hectic with everything..

40 days till my trip to universal.. and we had our first hiccup in the plans today, but it was resolved very quickly thank gawd.. my friends check engine light came on on her truck. so we had lost our ride down there.. but my mom offered her van to use for the trip.. so things are still going good. i was really upset at first.. i desperately need the trip away. and i know me and Dee will have such a blast... soon as mom was done asking dee questions about her driving, (how long shes been driving, any accidents.. etc) we came into my room and she was basically jumping up and down in excitement that we are still able to go.. i dont blame her. Im really excited too..

Along with going to Universal Studios. we are doing a teaser trip to Disney. Going to just 1 park, just to get a taste and tease ourselves for our 2 week trip to disney next year. We choose to go to the HollyWood Studios.. so thats gonna be fun too.. i think its against my laws to go to florida without going to disney at least for something small even if its just for a day...
