Hello All!!!!!!
I am still thawing out from the air traffic episode on tuesday !! I have been home 2 1/2 days, and right now I`m getting confused with all the wash, and unpacking, not to mention all the mail We had to open last night !!
For us it was a l-o-n-g- month .
We were invited to a 25th ann. party tonight, and a sweet sixteen tomorrow night !!!!! OMG " I need a rest"!-(After the rest )

First ,let me say that if I didn`t carry the camera, we wouldn`t have any pics My darling DH is NOT a picture person!!
I had all to do to ask him to pose for the Photopass photographer, so I guess he REALLY loves me or, WDW, either one !!
Second, I`m gunna try to write a tr soon (I hope, the way things are going you might be reading mine around x-mas , but we didn`t care much for "Chefs", it was soooo crowded, and something was lacking in the magic department about the restaurant (that`s just my oppinion)
Third, believe it or not, I got an autographed pic of mickey & minnie for my B-day, with Balloons from SSR when we checked in. I think I mentioned it to you, but just have your sis say that it`s your B-day when you check in !!

MKY!! Are you packed yet? I finished chapter 6 I also picked up my new laminated pics for my bulletin board and have those cut out too. The copy center called and I ran over there and picked up them. They almost didn't give my my new Pirates poster. They like Johnny Depp

Chefs was good for us, but we were there for lunch and it wasn't busy. The lady next to us did have a drink dump on her. I felt so bad for her!!

I'm off this morning to work! It's gonna be hot Oh well, it usually is when I go put stuff up. I'm hoping DH will help me carry back my boxes tomorrow in my car . I bring home my lithos as those are too near and dear to my heart to leave at school and my fans! Not having air is a bummer, but I love having windows.

My word!! Our airfare became available this morning. All I have to say is OUCH!! It's DOUBLE what we paid in June!
Sing a few rounds of We Wish You A Merry Christmas for me will ya? Maybe it won't sting so much!! We've always backed off a trip in Dec due to airfare out of here so I knew it was coming, but that's huge. Of course, we flew dirt cheap in June so I have to remember that.

I'll take an average like I did with no June AP Rates! WOW!!

I checked fast and I could have saved about $200 going to Moline, but driving 1.5 hours in the snow in December doesn't like a good thing to me so we are flying out of here non stop.

I have to play with the car rentals today now.

Best get to work so I can come home and plan!!

I've been playing around with the car rentals and I'm not coming up with anything less that what I have which is $378 for the week
I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or if those are just how high they really are.

we had to rent 2 cars this year, one to drive to WDW from SC, an the other, was exchanged at OIA for an Alamo SUV for the remainder of our trip (because renting 1 way is soooo much more expensive, so it was worth it for us to take the time out to exchange it)

Look at mousesavers, or any web site that may have discounted coupon codes, or contract #s. You `ll need some time to play around with different car rental co. to get a good deal, but it`s worth the time spent
If you belong to Sam`s or Costco, they also have discount contract #`s & coupons.
That`s how we saved some $$$ this year !

Hi gang

I feel like the kid in the wdw commercial. I keep waking up at nite all weekend, every 2 hours. Just to excited. Not excited enough to finish packing.

Hang in there EE22, My $$$ for (car) October trip is double our august rates too. And I haven't been able to better mine either. I have all the discounts too. Costco, sams, AP, American express, Entertainment book, United airlines club, American airlines club, etc.. .

TP2, Don't procrastinate (like me) Get Packing. I am going to miss your single digit dance.

I am going to miss you guys. Still trying to figure out how to pack my lap top. Without sis seeing it.

EE22, Just wondering? Not sure how far you are from that airport BUT> Could you get better airfare from Chicago or St. Louis? How much farther would that be? I know last thanksgiving, I was shopping airfare, and went looking at Milwaukee and Indianapolis too. Of course you have to figure extra cost. Car parking, or over nite room? But you might be able to do a park, stay and fly? We did this out of midway, when had a really early flight. The parking was free (all 18 nites) and we took the hotel shuttle.

MKY: Happy Birthday and have a WONDERFUL trip.

I can't believe this is it. I have 2 weeks and 1 day left. My kids are getting SOOO excited. My DD7 says she keeps getting bubbles in her belly when she thinks of Disney. It really makes me happy to know that we will be able to take her again. Only problem is she wants to know about next year. I KNOW DH will never go for it again next year. Maybe 2 years. We will see.

Tomar: I can't even imagine how much mail and work you came home to after being away for a whole month. The house gets so dirty even with no one home. It is really amazing.

EE22: Sorry you had to go back in the heat. I also can't believe how much more expensive different times of the year are to vacation. Just look at the difference between July and August. It would have cost us a ton more money between more expensive flights and no room discounts. Can't believe your son is starting football in the heat. You always think of football as being a cold weather sport.

First off, thanks for the help with the car rentals! I think I'll go back to my math book though...it's more familiar to me!! that car stuff makes my head hurt.

TP2: DD was 8 the first time we went to WDW. It was such fun. I was putting up my pics on my board today and looking at how much she's changed since that first trip. Time just flies. Savor every second while you are there. Enjoy that free food. I hope you are doing some pricey places

Price: Yes, it's amazing how much more it will cost us and I really did hesitate yesterday when I was booking the flights, but for the last 4 years, we've backed off because of the airfare and it's only going to get more expensive. Next year at AKL we'd have to pay more for a bunk room as well. So, I pressed "purchase". And, the ultimate motivation is...this really is the last time we can go over the holidays due to bball practice. I knew that the fares would be high because they came out high for the days to go over Thanksgiving. I had to do it. There's one flight a day and they only fly on Sat and Wed. "It's now or never." And, after the car rentals went sky high, I wasn't taking any chances. Now, this June was the cheapest we've ever flown and if I base it on what we normally pay it's more reasonable compared to what we normally pay. 4 flying round trip for $863 is unheard of out of here. My two friends at work didn't get that lucky either for their June trips. Des Moines was that high too on Allegiant as well.

MKY: Chicago would be 5 hours, probably a room over night and just a hassle all the way around. I'm not sure we'd really save that much. I didn't even check on it. DH would never have gone for it so it wasn't an option. He stuck up his nose at Moline when I mentioned it. About 1 month ago I could have gotten AirTran for less out of Moline, but it wasn't non stop and we lost the entire first day. He wanted non stop from here. So...he gave it the okay. I hate O'hare too and who knows what the weather will be like in December either. Let's not go there yet!! St. Louis is 6 hours away. Moline (1.5 hrs) was about $40 cheaper, but when I thought about it, I only searched for 1 person and when I put in for 4, it was the same price. Our airport is 20 minutes away and it's small. I'm feeling guilty about it still though I made the decision last April though when things went so wrong with my co-worker and life can change in a heartbeat. So...we're going.

I just ran expedia for all Chicago airports and it's $422 per person.
So...I guess they just take advantage of us Disney Freaks over the holidays!!

TP2 is still far enough away that she hasn't set into that panic phase that I hit a few days before. 2 weeks

I'm still planning for December so it keeps my mind off the real world. I'm on the ap rate watch and Candlelight watch as well. I do hope they come out before school starts. The Rat Race will be bad enough without the Mouse thrown in!!

Hi everyone!

This never happens to us! > I just pulled up our ressies on disney dot com and my 4 nites at the BC (std view) is now listed as GV Concerige!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I know they have been upgrading a lot of people recently, according to the resort board. But we usually stay too many days, so we never get picked. This time we are at the BC for only 4 nites (I should of left the 10 ), on the ap rate 189.00 What a great B-day at the BC!!! I didn't even use 1. my b-day or 2. Max's 1st vac. to wdw. I guess Mickey knows all!

Well we are pretty much packed. Sis and I have to weigh and lock cases. Check if the weight is even. I packed last nite, 5pm and got done at 11pm.

Now, the only thing I need is a Great rate for October.
