We're hoping to catch a glimpse of the shuttle launch (if it's still on) this afternoon. We didn't say anything to the kids about it in case it gets scrubbed. It would be cool.

Everything is packed ...... or so I think ........ I guess if it's not in the car by now, it ain't going! Whatever it is, I'm sure they sell them in Orlando ... we'll just pick one up with all our extra money!!!

Okay guys - guess this is it - I won't "see" y'all 'til we get back and I have to figure out how to write a trip report ....... Thanks for everything! The ziploc tip is 'da bomb!!! All the support & encouragement & general commisery over the past (how many???) months has been truly wonderful! I have my lime green mickey ears & my DD9 is on the lookout for others!!! Hope to catch up with EE22 while we're there .......

OH!!! Did I mention I have Mickey airbrused on my fingernails??? Yep, sure do! It's HI-LARRY-US! I have lil' mickey heads on each finger. My boss thinks I need therapy! That's what this is, right? Group Therapy!!!

Morning all. We slept in today 8:00 resting up. We did Illuminations last night and Fantasmic the night before.

The parks are busy, but we have done all that we want to. DD and I were hoping Pirates would be open before we leave, but I don't think it will be.

Our trip isn't until August 13th. This is my DD's first trip. She'll be two weeks shy of her 1st birthday. How exciting. We are DVC members and recently purchased an additional 150 points bringing our total to 300. So we're able to take my parents and sister with us and stay in a 2 br at the Beach Club Villas.

Anyway, my question is about luggage. I'm looking to purchase a new luggage set that is fairly easy to spot on the turnstile. HSN has a today special on a 7-piece set from American Flyer. Does anyone own anything similar to this set? Well I can't post a url as this is my first ever post. But go to HSN,com and cllick on Today's Special in the top left corner.

Morning all. We slept in today 8:00 resting up. We did Illuminations last night and Fantasmic the night before.

I have read rumors of it opening early, possibly July 1. I also read that they may have a soft opening yesterday but I guess that never happened. I can't believe you slept in today and were still up by 8:00am . Not my family, I had to get them up almost every day we were there and sometimes it would be 9:00 with me pulling them out of bed.

Pirates did not open yesterday since we were there and we are going back tonight for Spectro and we will check. The CM was pretty sure they were waiting till the opening of the movie, but we shall see. I would think that they would open it for the 4th, but maybe they don't care.

The launch is in 14 minutes, but it's cloudy here...just got done pouring and I mean pouring. I have no clue which way is east either

We have walked 45.92 miles since we've been here and that's minus our first day last Saturday since I had my pedometer in my bag.

We had a good day at Epcot today and found more characters. Tomorrow we are doing 1900 Park Fare so it will be an early start.

We are having a great time!!! The weather has been great. Rains only in the afternoon while we are back giving our feet a break!

OH!! Don't waste your time in the Narnia set at MGM unless there's no wait. It's a 5 minute commercial for the movie and that's about it.

Turtle Talk with Crush is fun. We went back for that today before our lunch at Chefs de France. Only place I can eat French Onion Soup due to my allergy to caramel color.

The boys just got back from DTD and the bus driver told them Pirates is open off and on so we'll try to see if it's open tonight.

EE22, great pictures & sounds like you guys are having a great time.

skeets024, I don't know that brand of luggage, but my advise is to find out the weights. I tossed out some luggage cause it weighed 10 to 15 pounds on it own. Now my set is the lightest i could find. Even if this trip your not flying (no info) you might be in the future. My suitcases even the great big one is about 5 pounds.

EE2: I really hope you got to ride Pirates today. I will check around some other boards to see if I can find better info for you about the opening.

EE2: I just checked and it did have a soft opening today and people rode. The story is though that CMs told guests that it would not open until July7 and to not wait for the ride to open because it won't. They then lead guests in to the ride but were able to shut it down at any time because they were testing it. I hope this info helps and you and your family will get the opportunity to ride before you trip is over. They say to be persistant and stand around. They let people on today at 9:45am.

skeets024, I had to check. It is made by "delsey". Found it in a nicer department store here. They come in different colors. We have the blue (royal) [easy to pick out on the airport convairer belt ], but now they have a pink, and they also carry black. Its semi "soft" sided and semi hard sided, if that makes sense. And has zippers. They have a nice wheel thing and you can contect them like piggyback to push them all at once. I have done all 3 (lg, med, and carryon) togther fully packed and had no trouble. As for the price, I found mine and sis's set at 1/2 half for xmas last year. Even thou there regular prices are higher you can find them discounted pretty well. Good luck in whatever choice you make. Just remember check the weight empty. mky

Im here at my son`s home in SC (enjoying my new granddaughter !!! She was born on 6-26, and weighed in at 8 lbs. 1oz)
this is our first grandchild, and i can`t believe her

EE22- Hope your enjoying your vacation , thank you for sharing your beautiful pics,(i need some time to view them, but the baby has been keeping us soooo busy) I`ll try again tonight to see some more

Tomar! Congrat's on the NEW BABY GIRL!!! You must be sooooooooooo happy! Sounds like your vacation is starting off right! Glad to know you made it there without any difficulties.

EE22 Enjoy your last day. TL is a great ending. Hoping for great weather for you & your family. The MK didn't look too crowded in your pictures, or was that at 8am? Enjoy the fireworks! I bet they are really something on the 4th. Safe trip home! And then you can get some rest.

TP2 Yes, I think its the attic today! I am going up and digging out the suitcases. Sis and I are both off, so think it would be a good day for it. Maybe check out my costumes for Oct. while I am up there. Can't remember when you get down, so what days your going to be at the world, and I will check it with our adr's / plans. See if we didn't pick the same park and over lap? Maybe can catch each other for a coke? We will be down till the evening of the 19th. We fly at 8pm and I am keeping our room for that day, probably will just hang out at the pool, and get some rest. (or not?), you never know.

We are in the middle of a mess. We are in a hotel in Sanford by the airport and we are not sure if we'll get to the airport in the morning I'm stressed at the moment. We called someone, but we don't know if they will show. The FREE hotel shuttle starts running at 7 am and we need to be there by 6:30 am.

I think we should start walking now....

EE22, Hope it all works out. Maybe a cab? We have never used the stanford airport, so can't give any real help. Hope you got home ok, and no delays once at the airport. I am glad you got to meet mouseaddicts! That is so cool! It has been nice, having your pictures, its like meeting your family.

They just cancelled me from work, and i don't have to take call! Our units are actually closed at this time, no patients. All the kids are healthy. Think I will check out the sales? Everyone have a great day.

MK: Have a great day off. It is always better when you don't expect the time off. You can get so much more done and it is always more enjoyable. Also nice to know that all the kids are healthy. Has to be really hard to see sick kids all of the time. I am going to head out today myself to Kohls to see if I can find some shorts. I hope the sales are good.

Oh, and that is all I have been telling myself and the kids. That we still have 6 weeks of looking forward to the trip. Anticipation is always my favorate part. Plus when we get back it will be 1 week before school starts and they are already looking forward to the new year starting. Last year was such a let down because we still had the rest of July and all of August. I think I like the August vacation much better anyway.

EE2: Hope you got home safely. We are having terrible thunderstorms here today, another reason why it is good we are not leaving today! Hopefully you were able to get a ride to the airport without many other problems.
