June hours - anyone notice this?

Hi, I was just re-checking the hours for our trip and looks like Disney has shortened hours the first week of June..........

example: I was sure that MK was open til 11 on Sat. June 5 with 2 showings of Spectro.....now it's closing at 10 with only one showing.

Also, I thought mgm was closing late on Tuesday the 1st with 2 showings of Fantasmic...now it's closing at 9 with one showing.

Am I crazy....did I imagine the later hours????? Thanks for your help!!!

MK was open until 11 that Saturday. I don't know about the 2 showings of Spectro because I was planning to avoid that park. I think you're right about MGM as well.

Had to check it out myself... they've also added Spectromagic on at least Monday of that week with 2 showings! The park is open until 11 pm Mon-Wed, which means e-ride night will last until 2 am! Yikes!

I thought the hours looked longer that 2nd week as well. We will be there May 29-June 7 (morning departure), so it does not help us, but WOW! for those who will be there the next week!!

Maybe this means they aren't expecting as many people the 1st week? Please please?? I don't want shorter hours unless there are less people

Kim, I noticed the changes too. Tourguide Mike didn't have the same schedule as the Disney site last night as he hadn't caught the changes.

I hope you're right about crowd sizes. Maybe we'll get lucky! June 5 is Gay Day in the Magic Kingdom. I wonder if they've decided the crowds won't be as large or something.......... Taking away a Spectro from a busy Saturday is pretty unusual, isn't it?

But the added Spectro on June 7 will work great for us as its our last night there and Isabella's 6th birthday. After dinner at Cinderella's Gala Feast we can head to the MK for SpectroMagic!

I noticed this also as we are heading there 6/5. The hours for the week of 6/6 have been extended by 1 hour and they added Specto every night, sometimes twice. WOW! On one hand I'm glad because we were going to skip Spectro because it was only going to be shown 6/8 and 6/12 and we're not up to fighting the crowds. Now we'll see it! Yeah! On the other hand, WDW must be expecting some REALLY big crowds. Uh oh.

We are there May 29-June 6th. I'm hoping that means the crowds won't be as big but that's probably wishful thinking. I have no idea how they actually make those decisions.

i would assume they use the hotel occupancy in their decisions to alter hours, add parades, etc.

we'll be there june 4-11th...i am counting on big crowds but have our plans mapped out.
