We are thinking about going June 1-June 8. DH does not want to stay onsite, not even for 1 day to get early entry to WWoHP and FOTL. So will we be able to fully enjoy the parks, especially WWoHP, in four days, staying off-site? Since it will be summer, I am afraid of the crowds. I don't want to spend our whole vacation in line.

Our first year we stayed off site. Never again!!! I agree with you.
Too much travelling and waiting. FYI we go in June too.
Check out the deals for the Universal hotels. Last June we got HRH club level for 300.00 a night and it was well worth it. We also came the week after Harry Potter opened. Getting into IOA at 8:00am is a double bonus.
We are going back this June again. My husband loves HRH and the club level rooms. So do the kids. But you can still get great deals with the regular rooms. They all look the same to me. Good Luck!!!!

June will definitely be crowded and if you want to do WWoHP, you will need to get there before opening to try and avoid some of the crowds. The rest of IOA and the Studios are both doable w/o Express passes but the lines will be there.
