June Entertainment and Grad Nights

It looks like two nights out of our three night trip will be closed early (9) because of grad nights. I am not familiar at all with Disneyland, but the three things I wanted to see most are Fantasmic, Electric Parade (which I missed in Dec. in WDW, to great dismay) and the new fireworks show. Will they still show these show even though they are closing early? We will be there Tuesday night the 21st when they are open until 11:00. I REALLY want to see these three things, please give me good news!!

The fireworks still probably be shown (they were last year when I went on the day of a grad night). If DCA's closing is after dark, then the electrical parade will probably be shown, if not, then it won't. Probably your best bet is to see the elctrical parade and Fantasmic the same night. Watch the EP from the Sunshine Plaza area and as soon as the Am Flag float goes by (it's the last one), head straight over to DL and see the second Fantasmic. There should be two on the night they're open until 11.

Thanks for the great info. What time would it be dark in California on June 21, 22, or 23?

Since June 21 is the summer solstice, around 8:45-9:00 pm.

Well...It looks like I will miss it again! I am so, so disappointed. DCA is only open until 8 all three nights of our trip.

Is it possible that they will lengthen their hours as June gets closer, or does the schedule pretty much same the same?

You never know. I've seen them change their hours before.

Don't forget to check disneyland.com as your dates get closer for parade/entertainment schedule. Since apparently they are not on summer schedule during your dates (otherwise DCA would be open until 10pm) then there won't be any electric parade or fantasmic except for the weekends. But then again, Disney does what Disney wants to do so you never know.

I thought Fantasmic was at Disneyland? So we would be able to see it on our first night that they are open until 11:00? Even though they are open until 11:00, DCA closes at 8:00 - I thought that was weird. When I looked at last years schedule for the same week, DCA was open until 9:00 and did show the Electric Parade at 8:45, so I maybe they will do the same this year. Fingers crossed!

Fantasmic is at Disneyland though right? I am so Disney stupid when it comes to this park, but I know WDW like the back of my hand! LOL If I have to miss the Electric Parade AND Fantasmic, I don't know what I'll do!!!

Yep--Fantasmic is at DL (it's on the Rivers of America). I know they were showing it last year at that time during the week if it wasn't a grad night cuz I saw it on a Tuesday in mid-June. And they had 2 showings because I saw the second one.

Ok - good! So we will plan on seeing Fantasmic on our first night, which is a Tuesday.

Is Grad nights just at Disneyland? If so, I wonder why the don't keep DCA open later for other guests to enjoy? Or maybe it is at both parks?

It is mainly at Disneyland, but I have heard that for extra $$ they have a pre-grad night party at DCA.
