Now, where was I? Oh, yes. Dole Whip meet! It was SO much fun to meet everybody! I think we had about 30 folks turn up! We had a blast. Our group was lucky enough to snag tables in the covered area near Aloha Isle so when it poured rain we weren't bothered!

After the meet we grabbed dinner at Cosmic Ray's.

For the parade we met back up with Bob and Bruce.

I thought MSEP was pretty good, but I might like Spectro a bit better. DH prefers Spectro. By the time the parade was over we were tired, and we didn't have Dessert Party ressies like many of our friends did, so we called it a night.

Today was supposed to be a Star Wars day at MGM for us. Today is also the day we moved from the room to the villa.

I went down a little after 7 AM to see if the villa was ready so we could just move and be done with it. Lo and behold, it WAS ready!! We got our keys, came up to take a look (LOVE IT!!!), then went back over to collect all the luggage. We went ahead and called for a bellman becasue it was just easier that way.

By the time we were ready to leave for the parks it was 8:40 AM. We figured the crowds at MGM would be so hideous we just went to Epcot instead.

We got there right at 9 AM. We took some photos at Character Connection, grabbed a FastPass for Soarin', ate some breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. We went to the Seas pavilion for a bit, then we went over to Innoventions and rode "The Sum of all Thrills". We had never done that before, and it was neat! You get to "design" the ride at a little computer station, then you go in the simulator. I made DS keep it REALLY tame because I didn't want to go upside down. If we do it again I would let him make it a little more wild since I know what to expect.

We rode Soarin', then we headed to test Track. 70 minutes stand-by, but 5 minute single rider, so we did single rider.

From there I stopped in at the "Drink Around the World" meet just long enough to say hello. DH and DS were getting REALLY REALLY cranky so I wasn't able to stay. I got a text from Sha (another DIS friend) that she and her mom were in the area so I had a nice chat with them before they went to Italy to do some shopping.

We rode Spaceship Earth and headed back to AKL for a little break.

We are thrilled with the villa! It is DEFINITELY plenty of space for the 3 of us. We have an awesome savanna view.

We have a lovely jacuzzi tub. I just ran some bleach through it so it will be all nice and sanitized in case I want to have a bath later. The one important thing to note is that if you turn on the jets they should NOT be pointed UP. I got quite a shock when that water shot out.

There is only one basin in the bathroom. We REALLY like having the double sinks, but hopefully it won't really be a problem.

DH just had to phone maintenance to help him with the pull-out couch, but it is resolved now.

We think we will have to phone for pillows for DS because there aren't any.

The villa was nice and clean when we checked in, so that was good!

The one odd thing is that there does not appear to be a safe anywhere in the villa. Not sure how that happened.

Dinner at Tokyo Dining. We had a sushi sampler but we had already eaten most of it before we realized we for got to take pics of it! It was good, but it was smaller than I thought it would be. We should have ordered a bigger one.

WOW I can't believe how big your DS has gotten over the past year...he is really maturing in his face!


I was able to notice a few DISers!!!! Wally, Rosie, Rob and his DH, it'sMuggie and her DW and sweet, beautiful baby girl!!!!!!

The villa looks GREAT! I am wishing my summer away for Sept to get here, but your TR will at least get me thru June! Then I have a mom's group gathering in Ct in July.....nothing in Aug, but then I can start packing!!!!!

Star, wish you could have been there to have a Dole Whip with us! Everybody we met was so nice! We even had a group come up and ask to have a photo with us in our HRC shirts, but they weren't part of OUR group!! Gay Day at MK was awesome.

Anne Marie, that pic was before an 8 AM ADR at Crystal Palace. Plus the park really wasn't crowded yesterday until later in the afternoon.

No, that's just the "plate" they serve the kids meal on. You don't get to keep it.
It's not his b-day. The cupcake was to celebrate graduating from middle school/being accepted to the Arts Magnet.
You know, it isn't really THAT rainy. It is raining for a bit each day but so far we have managed to miss it. We hardly ever go to the pool, though. We stay too busy. If we are at the hotel we're usually asleep!

DH just took DS to the arcade. I told DH they do the night vision goggles from 9 PM - 11 PM so they may check that out. I didn't have a nap today so I am ready to drop.
