Hello all, we will be at DL for the first time ever in June during the week of the Nemo opening. We arrive on the 9th. I think no matter how we slice it, we are going to see large crowds.

Pleaes critique my 'plan'

Arrive on June 9th early, check in at DLH, swim dinner at Goofy's then spend the evening at DTD.

June 10- DL early leave by noon, swim, DCA in the PM for the Electric Parade
June 11-DCA - dinner at Wine Country Trattoria- far away from DL
June 12-Unsure if I should split betwen DCA and DL or just DL
June 13- DL - dinner at Carnation Cafe
June 14 - check out early

The last time I checked the schedules there was no Electric parade on the weekdays so I have to see it on the 10th. I want to see the fireworks but I think the Nemo crowd will make it hard on the 12th but I don't want to take a chance on missing it.

I think that looks good. Above all, I would make sure you get to the park at opening, in fact 30 minutes early each of your days. And do any Early Entry days they are having, as a DLH guest you are eligible for all of them. I might suggest going to the park on arrival day. Since thats two days before Nemo opens, maybe crowds won't be bad. Then save DTD for the 11th when things inside DL are insane.

As for splitting between DCA and DL on the 12th, I would start out at DL and if it gets hectic then head over to DCA. Remember, the fastpass machines between the two parks are not linked so that makes hopping between the two even more desireable. Heck, thats good advice for any day at Disneyland/DCA. I rarely spend one whole day at either park (DCA in particular) but rather hop between the two at random. DCA rarely if ever has the crowds DL does, it makes a nice escape.

Have a great trip!

Thanks Amy! We arrive at 10 AM on Saturday, I never thought of still heading to a park.

Hi Ana - have you already made your reservations? Are you sure Carnation Cafe is doing dinner now? I thought they were lunch only. I hope that's true and will have to fit that in next time if so!

I have a 4PM ressie, so yes they are open for dinner

I second the thought of going to the parks on Saturday. That will give you one extra day of Electrical Parade, Fireworks, and Aladdin (dark on Monday and Tuesday) to work into your plans. Also park hours are extended on Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 - midnight so take advantage of the early morning / late evening hours when crowds are lower (plus EE) and take breaks during the day. You can also gather Fastpasses in the AM and then use them in the PM when you come back for both parks.

The cost for a 5-day park hopper versus a 4-day park hopper is only $10 per person. Well worth it !
