June 9, 2014 ALASKA! Who's in?

Last minute addition here. :) Just booked my kids an I for the June 9th sailing, don't know my room assignment yet, though. First cruise ever, and we had to leave my husband behind, so also the first time traveling with my kids without my husband! I have a 5 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son. I just requested to join the facebook group, too. I'm a little nervous traveling sans adult companion, so I think it'd be great to know a few familiar faces before boarding!

Welcome Aboard! We have a very friendly and active Facebook group and look forward to meeting you. There are several families with children your age! It can be a bit scary traveling without your spouse but you will be fine! Since you will be leaving your husband home and bringing the kids, I encourage you double check the paperwork you likely need if you are crossing the border. Canada is very strict about making sure all children entering are there legally, and belong with the adult who is bringing them into the country. As a parent I appreciate their diligence, but I don't want a border crossing to create issues for you! I believe you will need a Notsrized document from your husband stating you have permission to take the children into Canada.

As a veteran Disney cruiser and making my 3rd trip to Alaska on the Wonder, I am happy to help answer your questions! I do hang out on Facebook more but do check here from, time to time. Welcome and see you soon ... 21 days and counting!

Debbie (Larkin) Shaw.
Yup my maiden name is Larkin!

Hello,
I requested to join the FB group today and would really like to be part of the Fish Extender exchange for my six (6) kids. We are in staterooms 2575 and 2577. Is it too late? So excited!

A group of us from the Facebook Page are meeting between 10-11 am on Sunday Morning at the Aquarium in Stanley Park. We have enough to qualify for group rates so if you are interested just show up.

I had so much fun with you all on this cruise.

Is anyone who wasn't on this sailing following this thread that would be interested in seeing navigators, pictures or hearing about it? I'm sure we'd all love to share!

I agree Anissa! It was a wonderful cruise and it was very nice to meet a lot of you :thumbsup2
I was a little bit sad when the cruise was over, time flies!

We've been saying that a lot. It felt so short!! Guess time really does fly when you're having fun!
