Ok - after having talking about it, planned it, talked about it some more, thought about it, doubted it, and talked about it again - we booked it!

I can't wait. This is definitely a bucket list trip for me!

It will be DH and me, as well as the kids. I'm still in a bit of disbelief that they will be be DS1 (11) and DS2 (9) and DD (9) Getting too big, too fast.

Have to go early in the season b/c of DD's gymnastics - which is a bonus as it's a little less $$!

My parents may be joining us. That is TBD. They're on the reservation for now, but they don't know it yet :rotfl:

So - who else?

We're in. Booked it today.

I'm very excited to go to Alaska. I almost booked Alaska in 2011 for our first cruise but decided I didn't want to do Alaska when my kids were 5 and 1. So they will be 8 and 4 in 2014 and I really want to do Alaska.

I'm very excited. This will be cruise #4 for our family. Yep my not quite 3 year old is getting ready to take her 3rd cruise in 3 weeks. (Lucky dog). I hope my kids apprecite how lucky they are to travel and see the world. So far we have gone to the Caribbean (Eastern St. Maarten and St. Thomas) in 2011, Canada from NY in 2012 and Caribbean again (St Thomas and San Juan this time) in March 2013. We loved the Canada cruise last summer. As a bonus it was wonderful going somewhere not as hot in the summer time. I know we will love getting away from the Houston Heat to go to Alaska.

School gets out for us on Thursday the 6th of June.

Of course I have no fixed travel plans yet, but we will likely fly to Seattle on Friday or Saturday and spend one or 2 nights in Seattle. We will most likely take the train to Vancouver Sunday and spend in the night in Vancouver and get on the ship on Monday. We will probably take the train back to Seattle the following Monday and fly out of Seattle on Tuesday. Why Seattle? Because Southwest flies to Seattle and I get lots of Southwest frequent flyer points thanks to work so it is most likely free. If I flew to Vancouver I would have to pay for the tickets and they are much more expensive.

We are booked on Deck 6 starboard.

I'm looking forward to reading trip reports from this summer to get me ready for next summer.

Kristie -

We're booked deck 6 starboard, too.

I'm anxiously awaiting Adventures by Disney to decide if they'll have a cruise offering for the 2014 Alaskan cruises. If they do, I think we might go that route - to have everything taken care of in one fell swoop!

We booked yesterday as well.

Cruising will be my hubby and I with our two kids DS 15 and DD 12. The Alaska cruise will be our fifth cruise as we are anxiously awaiting our vacation this summer on the Fantasy (eastern) which will be our fourth.

We are on deck 6 too! Glad to meet you!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Count us in! And strangely enough... we are also on deck 6!

Me, DH, DD (12), DS (8) and my parents and hubbies mom. This is a huge splurge for us, we only justified it because we had an OBB discount and a hurricane Sandy 25% off. Woohoo!!

We will be flying into Seattle as well and spending a couple days in Vancouver before the cruise, then a couple of days in Seattle after the cruise (or vice versa!). As long as we are making the trek to the Pacific Northwest... we want to get the most out of it!

479 days and counting!!

DH has been doing his darndest these last few days to find a way to book another line for less that can provide the same experience. I think he's finally given in and realized that this is the way it's going to be. But, in the interim, I'm just reminding him how much the **kids** enjoy DCL :lmao:

We just booked our cruise today. We are so excited! Just went on the Dream in January and it's all our 2 year old talks about. So this will be our 2nd Disney cruise and first time to Alaska. We will have family traveling with us and all of us are interested in participating in fish extenders.

Oh my I am so excited. We have just booked the cruise to Alaska. It will be our 40th anniversary during the trip. I am also interested in starting the FE group if anyone else is interested.

It is sad how much time I have already spent researching our ports and excursions.

I can't wait until this years Alaska cruises start so I can start living through them.

I need to stop daydreaming about next summer and start planning this years summer vacation.

Its June! This means that we are almost under the one year mark! This time next year we will be finishing up our last week of school and packing for our trip!

I can't wait to start hearing from this years cruisers so I can start really planning for next year.

We are also booked on the Alaska June 9th cruise. It will be my DH, Me, DS (16), DD(16). My inlaws are also coming. We just completed our 6th cruise 2 weeks ago to the Eastern Carribean(having major cruise withdraws), but looking forward to Alaska! It is my husband dream to see it, and although I am not looking forward to the cool weather, I have heard it is an experience that can not be missed in a lifetime! Looking forward to meeting everyone and excited to do the fish extenders again.

We booked this trip also. DD2 wanted this as her HS graduation present. Embarkation day also happens to be our 30th wedding anniversary. We are also looking to spend some time before in Seattle/Vancouver but also have to plan in a trip for a wedding the weekend after we return. It's going to be a travelling June for us.

At this point, it will be me, DH, DD1(20) and DD2(18). It would be nice if DD1 got an internship but at this point both DDs are booked in an inside room. We are also on deck 6.

We need to help each other plan this cruise because it is totally different from a Caribbean/Bahamas cruise. This will be our 10th DCL cruise but we've never been to Alaska. I've started to read the trip reports from this summers Alaska cruisers to get some ideas.

We are also excited to be on the Wonder because we have been on the other 3 ships. Hummm, hopefully those rumors about two new ships come to fruition because I'm running out of new ships to try :yay:

It will be great to get to know all of you in the next year.

I have been reading all the post-cruise reports and am getting really excited. My husband and I will be celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. I have already started thinking about what I want to do for the FE's.

We will be sailing with you on this date! It will be my husband, our 22 year old daughter, my parents and I. We are very excited.

I set us up a facebook page where those of us with facebook can spend time getting to know one another before we set sail.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/553513408040388/

This is the link. But you can also find it under the group name "Awesome Alaska Adventurers."

Come join our facebook page! Our group is closed to prevent random people from joining so just request to be added and I will get you joined in as quick as possible.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Tracy

Hey all -

I just requested to join the FB group. Hope someone lets me in :goodvibes

We just booked our flights, so we're a 100% go.

Trying to get hotel squared away, too, while we're thinking about it!

Then the REAL planning begins!

Hello everybody!!!
I just find this thread, my family is in the Alaska cruise, and we're thriller for that.
We're going to celebrate my only daughter 10 birthday in the cruise, on June 14th. :) :) :) DH, DD and me (disney nuts)
Also we're thinking in the FE exchange.
Planning is half of the fun ;)
