So many pros and cons - grad nights, crowds....

How bad do you think it will be? Never did grad nights or summer before

My dd is turning 10 on the 7th and I am turning 50 the week after. She would love to celebrate her birthday in Disneyland. We just went for a quick unexpected one day last month, are going in October. So trying to figure out if it's worth it to go for our birthdays.

Thanks!

Go and enjoy yourselves. Being weekdays will help a little with the crowds. As for Grad-Nights.... I haven't been during one so I have no input there.
Getting an early will help for sure, it always does. From what I've heard the Grad's arrive later in the day.
Have Happy Birthdays!!

June 8 is the last day SoCal Select AP holders can go to the parks until the end of August so I wonder if it will be busier those days. I am a pass holder and I want to go in June but I was thinking of going may June 1 to (hopefully) avoid the pass holder rush.

We go this week every year - and are going this year as well June 5th - 7th. I've never had a bad time - there are crowds but honestly i've been at various times of the year and the crowds really aren't that bad. In fact in the last year or so I've gone several times and this week is still my preferred time to go. Yes, there are grad nights but if you just think of them as part of the crowd then they won't bother you. Instead of worrying about them and getting upset by them, I choose to celebrate with them. High school graduation is an exciting time and they are just enjoying a special day/night to celebrate.

I have gone this time of year for many years. Grads have all-day tickets, but like other locals, the huge groups usually don't get there until a bit later in the day. So prioritize fastpass rides or rides that are special to you early in the morning. Which is something we do on any day really. You never know if a ride will break down or a jerk will do something distracting on a ride so I try and give myself time to go on my favorite rides a second time if I need to.

I have never had an issue with the grads and I have been to a lot of grad nights. I've had much worse luck with rude adults honestly. But luckily not much of that either!

I also think a lot of locals AVOID grad nights (which I probably would do too if I was local, just like avoiding dates I knew a big convention was going on in Anaheim) so I think it all works out.
