Just returned from a fantastic/emotional trip to the land of 453 types of cheese.
All of the pictures are from Omaha Beach near the US Cemetary that is located behind the les Moulins draw off the beach.
French(?) re-enactors moving slowly West along the beach.
A C-47 (WWII paratroop aircraft) makes a low level pass over the US Cemetary behind Omaha.
French(?) re-enactors (Big Red 1) marching along the beach.
Yours Truly - former para - with a couple of present day US paratroopers enjoying a day as tourists after having participated the previous day in the 66th anniversary of the Normandy Invasion with a drop on (near) Sainte-mere-Eglise.
