Just returned from a fantastic/emotional trip to the land of 453 types of cheese.

All of the pictures are from Omaha Beach near the US Cemetary that is located behind the les Moulins draw off the beach.

French(?) re-enactors moving slowly West along the beach.

Yours Truly - former para - with a couple of present day US paratroopers enjoying a day as tourists after having participated the previous day in the 66th anniversary of the Normandy Invasion with a drop on (near) Sainte-mere-Eglise.

A very moving place, the cemetery's just go on and on, it makes you realise what true hero's the US and UK forces were.

We try and get across the channel every few years to visit Normandy as it is such a peaceful and laid back part of the world.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and love the photo's.
