We are on the upcoming Norwrgian Fjords cruise. We are considering doing a tour in Copenhagen the morning the cruise gets back to Copnhagen. The tour meets at city hall at 10:30. We need to drop off luggage at Tivoli Hotel and Conference Center first.

Do you think we'll have time to make the tour?

I had a moment of panic there thinking I had the dates wrong, lol
Our cruise documents say disembarkation begins at 7.30am approx

How exciting for you! :) I am sorry I don't have any answers, but I had to chime in with that!

Have a great cruise/adventure. :)

Yes, it's only 30 minutes to the Trivoli we are staying there, and that's close to the city centre, long walk or short taxi, it's doable if off by 9.00-am.

You should be able to make it. We were off the ship, retrieved luggage, waited for a taxi and was to our hotel and ready to tour by 9:45 AM. (We did not do express) The longest line we had was waiting for a taxi, however, they had an unusually high number of ships in at one time the morning we disembarked. Patience is the key.

It is a quick walk from the Tivoli hotel to City Hall.

I echo the others, seems like it's definitely doable. The downtown area is not too far from the port via taxi and then the hotel is not far from the City Hall. I'm glad you are exploring Copenhagen as it's a wonderful city - among our very favorite :)

Just think, Heather, this time last year everyone on our cruise was making preparations to head to Copenhagen. Ahh, memories. To all you lucky cruisers heading there this summer, enjoy!! Copenhagen is an incredible city. We fell in absolutely love with it and can't wait to go back some day.

And yes, OP, as others have stated - totally doable. Copenhagen is a city made for walking. It might be a bit of a walk from your hotel to City Hall, but what a beautiful walk it will be! Have fun.

I agree, it's doable. Last summer we were off the ship by 7:30-8:00ish and through airport security (with a stop at duty free) by 10:30am.

Also, if you get in early the day of the cruise (I know that's very risky for many people) Disney may give you a complimentary tour of the city (or at least they did last year when we got in at 7:15am).

We will also be on the cruise leaving the 29th so maybe we'll see you there!

Oh my goodness, I know :) I keep replaying it all over and can't believe it was already a year ago! I say we enter a time warp and repeat it all over again! The cruisers are indeed in for a treat!

We are staying at the Tivoli Hotel the night prior to our cruise 7/6. Could anyone tell me how long it takes to walk to the train station and Tivoli Gardens from the Tivoli hotel?

We stayed the Imperial Hotel which was downtown and very close to the train station (and Tivoli park) so I can't speak for the Tivoli Hotel but hopefully someone else can. The Tivoli Hotel is a little misleading as it's not as close as other hotels near the Tivoli park but I heard it's a lovely hotel.

It's about a 10-15 minute walk.

Thanks everyone. So if we take the train from the airport, we could walk from the train station to the hotel with our luggage? Or should we taxi-either from the airport or the train station?
