June 30, 2014 WONDER Alaska cruise meet

I just booked and went to look up the cruise meet and didn't find one so i am starting this. Who are all coming with us on this? We are a party of 4 , me, DH, DD(10) and DD(10).
So excited, but also realized from now until departure will be such a long and agonizing wait, so other people who are doing this jump in and we can give each other company during the excruciating wait

HI - We just booked during our last cruise 2/16. Just got back home and had to look who was here on the boards. We are so excited!!!

We are heading to Hawaii during that time for my daughters 16th Birthday (she turns 16 in March, but I have always pomised her she could pick anywhere to go for her 16th B-day ~ she pick Hawaii so we will go in July when school is out). So, I thought since we have to fly out West we might as well do a DISNEY Alaska cruise as well!!

Have you ever been to Alaska?? This will be our 1st time there.

HI - We just booked during our last cruise 2/16. Just got back home and had to look who was here on the boards. We are so excited!!!

The Fantasy is a wonderful cruise ship. Lots of entertainment and varity shows (both for families and adults). They are still working out some of the kinks, but like I told my husband ~ if you had never gone on a Disney Cruise before or are not familiar with the Disney Line you most likely wouldn't notice.

We are bias as we love the Magic and the Wonder

Sharon... a nice 30 minute train commute into Boston

My kids are interested in joining a fish extender group once we get closer to the cruise date and we pay for this trip!

We have done the Fish Extender for the last two cruises we were on. Both times was lots of fun.

This is my family's first cruise! Can't wait! I really want to do the Fish Extenders, but am afraid it seems confusing. Is there a place where all that info will be kept closer to time? It will be me, my husband, and two sons (11 and 13 at that time) Thanks so much!!! SOOOO EXCITED!

We are back from our first Disney Cruise and we did the FE and it was a ball! I was blown away by the creativity of the gifts! It does seem overwhelming, but it really isn't and it is fun. I ordered my FE from etsy, but lots of people either made their own from just hanging a bag on the hook to connecting organizers together- as long as you have something sturdy to hang from the hook and it doesn't interfere with your door, anything goes. Our thread decided to use the pay-off date as a cut-off date to join the FE thread, that way people had plenty of time to order and/or make gifts. Also, our group allowed people to decide if they wanted to give the cabin one gift or give each person a gift or just the kids. From reading other reviews there are lots of ways to organize a FE exchange. One member of the thread was in charge of recording the names, ages and cabin numbers of those participating in the exchange- he set-up an excel link on his blog.

I hope our group will want to do a FE exchange.

Welcome! First cruise on Disney Wonder to Alaska..you could not have chosen better FE will be fun and somebody with prior experience can set it up to make it very easy.

Hi everyone! At this point we are not booked, but getting ready soon. It will be a 25th Anniversary Cruise for us (July 1). Bringing our 2 teenage daughters with us. It will be our 5th Disney cruise and we love DCL!

We started making plans for this summer and next. I was looking at excursions and then decided to check out DISboards!

Thanks for getting this thread started! We actually started it for our spring break cruise last year.

We just booked this cruise while on board the wonder. It will be myself, DW, DD11, DD6 and DS2. We are really looking forward to our first trip to Alaska.
