June 27, 2007 10 Night - The Rodney Dangerfield of Med Cruises

What will it take to make the world realize that the last person over ten years old to look cute with braided hair was Bo Derek?

Hi Everyone,

I have a question for those flying into Barcelona on the 27th. We flying overnight from NJ and will land around 10:00 AM. We want to tour Barcelona for a few hours, but what do we do with our checked bags & carry ons? Can we send them to the ship or ring them there and then board at a later time?

Thanks!
Michelle

If boarding is anything like boarding in Port Canaveral, no,, you can't bring your bags to the ship and leave them there. I'm pretty sure you have to stay with 'em. Security is likely to be extremely tight. You could be sending anything in your stuff for all they know.

Most everyone is flying in at least a day ahead - just in case. There are too many things that could go wrong like lost luggage, flight delays, etc. What is everyone doing with luggage that day. I assume hotel check out will be early. oh, I see an opportunity for a DIS meet

If bars in Barcelona are anything like Madrid, early drinking is the standard and it is also pretty cheap!!!

Yay! We booked our flights... finallly... I had some miles on
Virgin Air that were going to expire in October so... we got LA to London 5000 miles plus $600 each. we're flying June 22 to London then directly onto Barcelon until the cruise and then return with two days in London.... haven't booked the London to Barcelona jaunt but.. i've been told ... no too expensive. We'll see ... I'll keep you posted. :cheer2:

Cheri where are you!

OK something trip related as airfares have yet to drop!

I am starting to think along the lines of Air France to Paris then Barcelona & Back to the USA!

Amex has coupons for buy 1 get 1 free on Air France 16,000 rewards points each. Not bad, now if only the fares would drop I would pull the trigger! :badpc:

What do you think BBM?
