HI there
Hubby and i just got back from vegas and now want to take the kids to disneyworld...We went back when my youngest was 10weeks old and had a fabulous time...

Hubby is arguing that july is way too hot, and said he wants to see people post back, honestly, and then he will go ahead with the bookings...

So, is it doable??? I told him that everything is Air conditioned then, and when we went in 2004 it was 100 degrees and we were fine...

Please post back ASAP..

thanks
Lori

We always go in July and love it. Our kids are 7, 9 and 10 and we have been doing this for the last 5 years!

Yes it is hot but very doable. We get to the parks at opening, stay until lunchtime and then head back to the resort for some swim/nap time. We go back to the parks at night for dinner and/or parades and fireworks.

We take a short winter trip each year and all agree that we like the summer soooo much more.

The parks are open later, the parades are usually done 2 times a night, so there's not rushed feeling and there is no worry about missing a parade because they are shown every night!

Plan well, drink lots of water, buy the water spray/fan bottles and have a ball!

We've been going in the summer for a few years now and its not that bad (with a little planning!)!!! The last few years, we've been going the weeks around 4th of July - and we love it!!! As the pp stated, we like to go early, stay til around lunch, and then we go back for a nap/swim break (even us adults like to rest for a little bit)!

We'll be back at Disney June 29 - July 12; so maybe we'll see ya there! Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 2 most favorite places- Vegas & Disney- Yep, it's hot in Disney in July (we usually go in August, which is pretty much the same) As you probably already know the heat is a lot diff. than Vegas heat, much more humid, but Definately DOABLE! Plan the day around the heat, try to hit the parks early or later, lounge at the pool during heat of day, you'll be fine!! It's summer, suppose to be hot!! Have fun!

We were originally going to go the first week of June but my dh's work schedule pushed our trip to late June. I considered us not going because I thought it would be hotter then DH said something so true....and maybe what he said will help with your DH.

My DH said.....I'D RATHER BE HOT IN DISNEY WORLD THAN HOT AT HOME ANY DAY!!!!!!!

How do you argue with that???? The summer heat is gonna be where ever you are...at least at Disney you get to share the heat with Mickey!!!

We were there last August with our 3 kids ages 10,7,4, and are going back again this summer - it was hot, that's for sure, but it was FUN, and very managable. We drank a lot (water that is!), ate a lot of ice cream, and alternated indoor and outdoor attractions. We all had a great time.
