June 22, 2013 FANTASY 7 night western cruise *UPDATE FE signup

Hello Everyone -

We booked this trip over a year ago and it seems so far away. But now with final payment made and some reservations made last weekend it's getting exciting.

As my signature shows I will be travelling with my DH, our DD (12), and our DS (8). We will also be travelling with 2 other families, one who has a DD (12) and one who has a DS (8). Works out well for us! But we are also all looking forward to getting to know some other people. Last 4 cruises everyone has made a new friend!

Looking forward to actively participating in the board and getting to know everyone.

Anyone else from New England who has to pull their kids out of school early because of all of the snow days??

We have kids almost the same age. My DD is 11 (will be 12 in December) and my DS is 8 :) He'll be thrilled to know there will be other boys his age for sure!

Have not booked our flights yet or hotel for night before. I usually book early and air price goes down on me

For the fe our room number is 12012. Hope it is ok to add it here

Hi Beth,

I updated the list with your cabin number. Any other GTY assignments yet?

Ok, final payment made.....we are onboard....just reserved activities and checked in....our first Platinum cruise...and signed up for FE!

It will just be my DH and I, the kids can't make it this time.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and sailing again!!:dance3:

Did anyone talk about a Meet? I just read through the posts and I didn't see anything?popcorn::

On the 6/23/12 cruise, we met at the Tube at 3:00 on embarkation day. We had a HUGE group. Unless someone objects, I'd suggest the same time and place for this group. We have 26 cabins, 46 adults and 39 kids so far on the FE list. Gonna be a pretty nice-sized group.

Can someone more experienced please help me understand a little better? Since Sunday will be the 75 day mark for us newbies I want to get on-line at that point and get everything taken care of. I understand the system will open at midnight EST. My question is, since there are 2 buttons to click, activities and check-in, is there an order I need to do things? Do I have to check-in first before scheduling any activities or doesn’t it matter? Also, we’ll be taking the DCL transfer from the airport, I think I remember reading if you take the transfer your PAT doesn’t matter. Is that really correct? Do I still pick a PAT when I check-in or does it not even give me an option because we have transfers? Just curious if it has me pick a time, let’s say hypothetically we get a late PAT but we get an early bus from the airport. How does that work? Is our “scheduled” PAT ignored because we’re on the bus?

TIA!!

This sounds good, where's the Tube?

I would do whichever thing matter more to you, activities or check in. I'm not sure about the transfers question but I think you're right, and if you take the bus it's non-issue. Hopefully, who has sailed more recently can answer that one.

At 26 cabins on FE will we leave as one group or break into 2 groups to keep size down?

The Tube is all the way aft on Deck 4. Fantasy deck plans are here.

We always drive, so the transfer question has never been an issue for us. We stay at one of the hotels close to the port and take the hotel shuttle to the ship.

I don't see any reason to split the FE list. We had 53 cabins on the 6/23/12 Fantasy cruise and didn't split the list. In fact, there were two other lists started after the cut-off date on that cruise. I don't see this as too many cabins.

Greetings from Connecticut, fellow Fantasy cruisers! Sunshine and daffodils can't make summer and this cruise arrive soon enough.

Cruising with my dad (Ed), sister (Sue), brother in law (Bob) and 8 year old nephew (Eddie). Eddie's already a gold cruiser--I'm trying to catch up to him.

Haven't been to western Caribbean since a Carnival cruise in 1995 (even that ship had engine trouble!). Looking forward to Cozumel and Grand Cayman, most of all to Castaway Cay. We'll be cruising again in October for two stops at CC.

See you all in two months, two weeks and two days!

Just a quick reminder. Today is the FE signup cutoff date. I'll send the list to everyone tomorrow morning. If you haven't signed up, now's the time to do so. The link to signup is in the first post in this thread.

I know there are always people that want to get on the FE list after the cutoff date. We can decide those on a case-by-case basis.

Oh, and welcome aboard Kelly!

Today (well last night before I went to bed :) ) has finally arrived! All checked in. Excursions booked, although we didn't get parasailing on CC but what can you do? I'll keep my eye out for cancelations. Yea!!! It feels great to have all that done. Now just waiting for our cabin #...probably going to be at GTY for another month or so. Last piece of the puzzle :)

Stayed up again last night to check in for my mother in law. Was able to get just about everything and an 11:30 arrival time. Not bad for a first timer.
