June 21, 2014 Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean Meet Up

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

weeks to go to the Fantasy.

So, I know we still have over 10 months to wait, but I got our excursions all booked already! We're doing private excursions in GC (boat tour to Stingray City/Starfish Beach/Rum Point) and Jamaica (Dunn's River Falls and river tubing) so I figured might as well get our first choices reserved while everything was still open. (We're just going to hang out on the ship while we're in Cozumel.) Anyone else already looking into what to do at each port?

We're in for June 21st-28th on the Fantasy! This is our 4th Disney cruise
(5th for my husband and me since we cruised sans kids for our 20th anniversary), and our first on the Fantasy. Our crew consists of my husband, myself and our two sons, 17 and 19 at the time of cruising. We'll be celebrating my oldest son's high school graduation.

We definitely want to participate in the FE. It's one of the highlights of the cruise for us!

I love the dancing countdown numbers! We're ready to go

We are booked on June 21st too!! Me, DH, and DS (he will be 8). We will also be traveling with my parents!

We are in room 2028- I am nervous about being on Deck 2- we were on deck 8 last time and we loved it. Never been so far down before! My parents ended up being GTY Hopefully they will end up near us like we requested. DH and I wanted Deluxe Inside but there were none near Standard Inside for my parents. So we did deluxe oceanview instead- I will be bummed if they still dont end up near us!!

I have an only child who will be 9 when we sail and I have been trying to introduce him to as many children close to his age as possible so that he'll have kids to hang out with in the kids club. (Once 8, they can check themselves in and out; and I'd feel better if he was doing it with others).

thanks for the countdown! I really need this right now. DS is about to head for college for the first time and I am so sad. I know he is going to enjoy the cruise next year so I am finding things to look forward too to help me through all the sadness this weekend.

I so know what you are going through - we dropped our only child off at college last weekend and we miss her so much. She's a great kid and we know it's time for her grow up and start her own life, it's just that it's hard not having her here with us.

Hang in there. I hear it gets easier over time and it's nice that we have the cruise planning and preparations to help keep us occupied. And last week I did have the time and the opportunity to really clean up her bedroom and now it's actually going to stay that way for awhile - that's one small advantage to them being gone!
