*June 2025 Check-in Thread*

First thought of the day: this new entrance system is sloooooooow. Line feels like it is moving half the speed it used to.

Awesome! Post a pic, would love to see them! So far, I'm taking 6 pairs or ears, 3 Loungefly backpacks, 4 skirts...my outfits include Pooh, sorceror Mickey, Avengers, Sleeping Beauty, Jack Sparrow and Steamboat Willie! Yeah, I know....it's a bit cray -cray but part of the fun for me is dressing up! Gettin' excited now...😁
Those all sound wonderful! I have a Peter Pan's flight outfit and another with a Disney Dress shop skirt, my retro marquee ears and one of my fancier Disneyland t-shirts.

The ears were originally from World and didn't match our Peter pan's Flight at all.

It is slower in the morning when people are using their tickets for the first time (lots of taking pictures).

OMG...those are SO CUTE! I'll be watching for you! Those are so unique!
Just got back from Hobby Lobby...had to go get some beads for an Avengers necklace I'm making....so much fun!

Thanks! The necklace sounds like a fun project :)

Just came down here to check in for WOC second show Dessert party and the entire process is totally changed. You check in in your phone now. You can choose a table (high or low top) preference and that’s about it. You get a notification when you can line up and you get either the “east” or the “west” line and won’t know which line until you get the notification.

Will write more up after we actually go through it.

Thanks for the update. I wonder why they changed it. I hope you had a table with a good view.

Can’t believe it’s finally here! Day 2 of trip and day 1 of Disneyland is wrapping up already. I had posted about trying to do paint, wondrous, world, and then paint again.

We did it! I also lagged a little and caught the 10:00 carthay projection and we beat paint to small world so we are seeing the full parade. I do think it stepped off late because Peter and co were just barely out of the gate at 10:54 but that was a 10:50 parade time. We plan to see the 11:30 tapestry then leave because it’s been a long day. Lots of fun!

First Disney hangover day...was up from 4 AM MDT until midnight Disney time! Getting ready for Day 2...did Fantasmic and fireworks last night and about 15 minutes of 2nd parade till I had to go catch trolley.

Not impressed with a lot of the 70th merch, may just get the white tee as souvenir.
Everybody have fun out there!

I hope everyone who has visited, or is currently visiting has had a great time!

Is anyone attending the first pride nite tonight? If so, I'd love a quick review or any tips! We leave tomorrow and are attending the Wednesday pride nite. Super excited!

I'll be at Pride Nite tonight with my family. Can't wait! I've already seen loads of people in the park all day wearing pride shirts etc from previous years.

Went tonight! We did the first cavalcade by small world then followed it down to Main Street. I don’t remember last year’s to comment on the second showing but just fyi the dance break/show stop for the first one is longer at small world. It’s a much shorter time at Main Street since they have just a few minutes before fireworks.

Since we were right there on Main Street, we turned around and watched fireworks. I believe they’re just about the same as last year’s.

We grabbed the pepperoni croissant and tomato soup from Jolly Holiday (don’t forget you can mobile order at like 8am and modify the times once you’ve solidified plans), ate real quick, and walked over to the Musical Celebration at 10:15. The croissant was decent but I didn’t get a lot of pepperoni flavor and it was a bit small for what you paid.

Musical Celebration is still great this year. Once it was done my friend did the photo op by small world and I watched Tapestry of Happiness (a surprise bonus that has 2 showings) then we moved on. I did Thunder while waiting for my friend to finish his photo. We did Clarabelle m&g which was a bit long while I snacked on the specialty beignets- citrus glaze and freeze dried skittles. I don’t think people liked them but it tasted like a donut to me this time with some added flavor. I like the current seasonal pineapple ones during the daytime better. Clarabelle was great. My friend was tapping out so I ended up riding Pirates, Mansion, and Small World and closed down the park.

We grabbed our bands in Galaxy’s Edge since we were in the park and we got merch in the Starcade in Tomorrowland. A slightly bigger space than Main Street.

Overall, a fun night. I went with a different friend this time so I think more fun last year with more aligned interests but I still enjoyed.

Also feel like maybe I saw Tinkaboo at some point during this trip…but could’ve just been guessing that was her. Time to sleep before airport home tomorrow. It was a sad walk out tonight.

We were in the parks last Tuesday-Thursday with our 2yo daughter and had the absolute best time. It was seriously better than I’d even expected, and I had pretty high expectations.

The last time I’d visited DLR was April 2022, and I felt pretty jaded on that trip. The increased costs, nickel and diming for things, constant ride breakdowns, the change from Maxpass (which I loved) to LLMP (I think it was Genie+ then? same thing, though)- all of it just left me with a sour taste about all of it, and I remember thinking I’d be good for awhile without a Disney visit.

Well, after this trip, the magic is BACK for me, times a million! I know I’ve been hearing for years about how it’s so amazing experiencing the magic through your child’s eyes, and WOW is that a true thing. Just loved it so much. I was surprised to find that I didn’t care one bit about missing the e ticket attractions. I just loved doing things with her and going at her slower, more relaxed pace. Her absolute favorite was the carousel - we rode it 16 times in 3 days, and then we also rode Jessie’s at DCA 9 times, for a total of 25 carousel rides…and she would definitely have done it more! She also loved Small World, which was so special for me, since that’s always been one of my favorites. I loved not even having to worry about getting on all the “big” rides and instead getting to slow down and really enjoy all the little things.

One thing I do want to say is that we were unpleasantly surprised by the Grad Nite crowds on June 11. We’ve been there for Grad Nites before - years ago, as local APs pre-2014 - and felt like it wasn’t a big deal then. This Grad Nite seemed to impact DL crowds more than I remembered, and that was with leaving the parks by 7pm. But, it wasn’t a dealbreaker, and DD’s birthday is always going to be around Grad Nites, so, oh well. We'll just be more aware in the future. In contrast, Thursday 6/12 had surprisingly low crowds, which we loved. So it all evened out in the end, I guess.

I hope everyone else’s June trips have been/are wonderful, as well!
