"Go where you wanna go...do what you really want to do" (nod to Mamas and Papas)...honestly, just enjoy your freedom! I've been solo for the past four years except for my Christmas trip with a friend...last year was a disaster with her so I'm sticking to flying solo!

I’m not gonna know how to act with all the freedom to do what I want, when I want, as little or as much as I want without worrying about anybody else’s happiness in my party.

We are leaving Friday for a five-day, four park day trip with three of our four kids and both of our mothers. Really excited as we haven’t taken them both with us in almost 10 years.

We have a pretty big surprise for them too, although no posting about it yet!

I'm very curious about the surprise! Sounds like a wonderful trip

How exciting! Are you planning anything for the reveal of the surprise? Congrats on whatever it is! Well, assuming it is congrats-able (new word lol), but I'm guessing it probably is, otherwise it may be a bit of a bummer for the trip

Oh no, didn’t mean to build up the surprise too much. It isn’t a huge deal I just know my son has been known to occasionally browse the board and didn’t want to spoil it. I will post during the trip

Looks like some of the pride food got posted on Disneyland’s Instagram. Doesn’t seem super exciting so I probably won’t try as much as last year but I’m still super excited! Five more shifts to get through! I also randomly get a weekend (I’m off middle of the week) before I leave so I can pack and do whatever chores. It’s 8 days away and it still really doesn’t feel real. I’m a little stressed about my showtime schedule and fitting it all in but once I’m there it’ll all work out!

Could I BE any later to the party?

After 10+ family vacations to both DLR and WDW, I’m finally going to attempt my very first solo trip June 20-23.

Doing this on the cheap since it’s just me and all I need is a clean bed and shower, so staying at Kings Inn and not scheduling hardly any ADRs this time around for cost effectiveness and max freedom/flexibility. I did splurge for park hoppers and may do single day MPLLs on a couple of days.

I’ve always wanted to try a solo trip and my company holding meetings nearby the week of June 23 made this a prime opportunity to do so.

Anybody here have solo experiences or tips they want to share? I know I’ll be hitting every available single rider line.

It will be an interesting experiment for me, but I am excited to give it a try.

It’s exciting and also a little daunting! I’m going to Disneyland on my own in August for the first time ever. I’ve done it many times with my partner but am on my own now, and decided to go ahead and try it on my own! Good luck to you!!
