June 2018 park hours

When will they update them to staying open later? I think in our past summer trips MK changed from 10 pm to midnight most nights with EMH like june 13th 2018 making it a 2 am closing.

April thru May 5th just were changed mid March. Still waiting on May after the 5th through Memorial Day weekend to be updated. If that is changed mid April I would say Mid May for June. But with Disney lately who knows.

Expect an update in hours maybe 2 weeks out from your trip. Even then check as you get closer and they still can change

We went in July last summer and I checked every single day waiting for those hours to change. They never did. The MK closed at 10 every night.

Don’t count on extended mk hours. Last summer it was rarely open past 10. Disney summer hours have been dramatically cut back.

And here was me thinking parks won't be too bad since I was able to get FOP FP+ for every day of my trip when I checked today. And I was not even on first thing! More availability for June than I saw when trying to book for Oct, Dec and March!

Ditto for me although we did stay until midnight one night with the extra magic hours. I thought that the extra magic hours would be really crowded since 10 pm to midnight is not super late but they weren’t that bad and we were able to ride a lot.

Do they ever change the Extra Magic Hours closer to the dates? All of them are AM ones for our week and we were hoping for at least a couple of night ones.

Around this time last year I wondered the same thing as we had trip planned for a week from end of May to early June. In April I think many nights were listed as closing at 9pm or 10pm, but that changed. I just looked at my old planning sheet for that trip and it ended up with MK staying open until 11pm every night and EMH from 11pm-1am on the Wednesday night.

IIRC I think it was about 4 weeks out when they revised the schedule. Good luck, hope you see an nice update soon!

That must have been years ago. WDW has cut their summer hours shorter in the past few years. Don't expect regular midnight closings. Midnight will probably only be the time evening EMH ends at MK once a week.

Emh are usually pretty set once their posted. They can always change but they don't change nearly as often as when hours are updated about a month out.

Emh can be sparing, but there's at least one park everyday with emh..usually a mix of AM and PM. It would be weird for your entire week to only be AM EMH. When are you going?

So I’ve gone the last two Junes. They usually extend hours about mid May. 2016 had more hours added. In 2017 there wasn’t very many 8am openings (except AK bc of Pandora) and there wasn’t a ton of 11pm closures (no midnights that I know of except EMH maybe).

We go every 2 years so 2016, 2014, 2012, 2010 etc.... twice I know for sure we stayed till 2 am or so. And till 130ish one time till we got too tired.

I don't know for sure about last year, but I'm positive that on June 22, 2016, MK was open until midnight with EMH until 2:00 a.m. We were there. My kids (teens) *still* talk about how we stayed at MK until 2:00 a.m. that night. I think that MK was only open until 10:00 every night in June 2017.

This is a fairly recent phenomenon. In 2014, MK was often open in early June until 1 am with EMH until 3.

In 2015, hours were generally until only midnight with 2 am EMH.

Hours were cut by 1 hour per night in 2016 at both WDW and Disneyland due to Shanghai cost overruns.

2017 was even worse.

No doubt due to extended AK hours because of Pandora opening up.

I would expect similar hours for MK in 2018 along with extended hours at HS this summer due to TSL opening up.

We will be there from June 20-26. There is evening magic hours on our check-in and check-out days only. We can maybe make the one on the 20th but we have a later dinner reservation and we will sadly be back in NY for the one on the 26.

There should be evening EMH at all parks except DHS.

I just double checked... Not during our dates with the exception of check-in and check-out days.
