Last June we lucked up and got a free dining pin code....I want to think it came out in Feb? or maybe expired in Feb.....anyone get one of those or remember? We had to check in by June 16th or so I think??? I would love to get another one of those this year!!!

That would be an ideal code! We're thinking of going right when school gets out and this year it's June 12th (barring any crazy snow storms).

Free dining would be perfect for us! We plan on staying 11 or 12 nights (depending on the discount) so I'll be happy with any good discount! We plan to arrive on June 1 - hopefully we'll get something...

I am looking at June 15-30, and any kind of discount would be great!!! I will probably get DD & I an annual pass, because I am planning another trip in the fall, and then we'll go in early june, 2013. That would give us 3 trips on the annual pass, and hopefully, a really good annual pass discount on the room!!

I am HOPING for a % off room only code too. I think that the room only code came out in Dec/Jan sometime. I'm not really interested in DP, too much food and too much time commitment. It would be nice to get it, but would rather have % off room rate.

Throw us in on this list. We just spent our first June in the world ( June 1-13) and we loved it !!! We don't have dates yet but hope to get free dining again.

What were the crowds like? Count us in for June too! We'll be going May31-June 11th. We've never gone at this time of year. We did the last week of August one year and it wasn't too bad I hope early june is even better...fingers crossed!!!

You will notice a difference in crowd levels on June 11 vs May 31! It shouldn't be as humid as the last week of August, but it will still be hot and humid (but less rain in my experience). It will be more crowded overall in early June vs. late August, however.

We tend to go in the first 2 weeks of June for the past 3 years and every day deeper into June you get, the more crowded it becomes. We follow a best park plan, arrive for rope drop, and gather FP's early in the day for later use. We also tend to take a late afternoon/early evening swim break to help with the heat.

Also, we thought the parks, in general, were more crowded this past June than the 2 previous years.

I am starting my search for a great rate at a WDW resort for base camp. We want to visit Universal & Legoland & a few days at WDW if we can. But we love the WDW resorts so much we still want to stay at WDW resort(leaning towards POR). Our week should be June 8th-16th. So a room only rate would be awesome. If not A WDW resort looking at Holiday Inn at DTD, maybe Sheraton Safari(because they are in the middle of a large renovation which will be finished in Jan. 2012) or I have seen great rates on the Doubletree International Drive near SW.

You sound like us. I love staying onsite and usually use only Disney transportation. Last year we rented a car and I saw how close everything was and we are on the fence about onsite w/ small room vs. offsite w/ 2 bedrooms and a kitchen w/ washer & dryer and mulitple TV's for same price of 1 rack rate Mod at Disney. I love the Disnaey feel of the resorts but wonder if the other amenities of offsite would make up for the non Disney feel?
We too will be doing Universal and Disney. Don't know about other attractions yet. May31st-June 11th

Wow! That's crazy! Do all East coast school go until June 12th? Here in Houston our last day is May 31st and I plan on picking up the kids an hour or two early and flying out that night. I really wanted to take the kids out a day or two early since they would have already turned in books and grades and are really just playing games and movie watching but DS has his Field Day on the 30th of may and since I'm room mom and in charge of running it for his class I guess I should be there....

I'm not sure but I know that most Maryland public schools definitely begin either 1 or 2 weeks before Labor Day. So dumb....

So crazy about the end dates for the East Coast schools! Here in Texas most schools start late August. This year we started on the 22nd and our end date is May 31st. We however don't have to deal with snow or winter storms that push schoolend dates back due to inclement weather days, heck we only have 2 scheduled, one for each sememter. Last year we dipped into a hard freeze (for us Texans that meant below 29*) for something like 3 -4 days and schools were shut down because the roads iced and water lines broke. We just hardly ever get weather that cold that we don't know how to deal with it, we don't own clothing to handle the prolonged cold and our cities don't have enough trucks to deal with the frozen overpasses and such. Now the Florida heat in mid summer...piece of cake! Heck at yesterdays Homecoming pep rally at 5:30 at night it was 96*.

Add us to the list of those planning to head down at the very beginning of June (June 1-10). We'd always been wary of June (we usually go in September or October when there aren't the summer crowds), but we were able to spend one day at Magic Kingdom last June (on June 2) and it was GREAT! Got there at rope drop and stayed until 1 am. Crowds were low, weather was nice, and we were able to do everything we wanted, some things two or three times. We had front row seats with no one around us for the electrical parade. Loved it! We're booked at POR - first time at this resort, but since we now have 5 in our family, it's the most affordable option on site. We've stayed at POFQ the last few years...will we notice much of a difference?

We're going June 1-8. I'd like to take the kids out early and go the end of May, but I have twins who are graduating from 8th grade this year and we don't want to miss that. As long as we don't have snow days, they'll graduate on May 29. But, we live in Illinois and the kids have had 2 snow days each year for the past 3 years. I work for the school district and would like a few days to pack before we leave.

Wow, our DS15 gets out June 14th. We are booked for June 2012 as well and hoping there will be a code. But we are still going with or without a code but it would be nice. Lots of for all the June hopefuls.
